LED lamp, also known as light-emitting diode, is a solid-state semiconductor device that can convert electrical energy into visible light. It can directly convert electricity into light. The method to identify the quality of LED lights is as follows:
1. Look at the workmanship of the lamp body and driver. The workmanship of the lamp body of LED products produced by large manufacturers will be much finer than those produced by small workshops. The material of the LED driver casing is also better. Generally, large manufacturers use flame-retardant materials, while the lamp bodies of products from small factories are rougher. The driver is made of ordinary plastic.
2. Look at the driver. Generally, the life span of LEDs is not 50,000 hours as claimed by the manufacturers. Nowadays, the cross-flow drives that have passed EU certification on the market can basically reach 20,000 hours. Since LED lighting-level products have only been around for 2 to 3 years, it is impossible to know that they can be used for 5 to 10 years without the driver breaking down or the light failing. Therefore, most major manufacturers will provide a two-year warranty.
3. Check the certification. Since there is currently no LED standard in China, there is no 3C certification test report. Generally, large manufacturers will pass the EU's CE and ROSH certification, and dealers can provide these two certifications. These two certifications cannot be bought with money.
4. Look at the warm white light color. Generally speaking, the warm white LED light shines on a white wall about 10-20 cm away. The halo of good LED products is very soft. Generally, the edge of the LED halo will have a very clear blue light. The cheaper the blue light, the brighter the light. The deeper it is, the more obvious it is.
Advantages of LED lights:
1. LED lights are energy-saving. The energy consumption of white LEDs is only 1/10 of incandescent lamps and 1/4 of energy-saving lamps.
2. LED lights have long life. The life span can reach more than 100,000 hours, which can completely solve the lighting problem of ordinary families for a long time
3. It can work at high speed, but if the energy-saving lamp is frequently started or turned off, the filament will turn black and quickly of broken.
4. LED lights are solid-state packaged and belong to the cold light source type. They are easy to transport and install. They can be installed in any miniature and closed equipment and are not afraid of vibration. Lamp technology is advancing rapidly, its luminous efficiency is making amazing breakthroughs, and its price is constantly decreasing. An era in which white light LED lamps enter the home is rapidly approaching.
Disadvantages of LED lights:
1. Heat dissipation problem. If heat dissipation is poor, the life span will be greatly shortened.
2. The power saving of low-end LED lamps is still lower than that of energy-saving lamps.
3. The cost is higher. Because LED light sources are highly directional, the lamp design needs to consider the special optical characteristics of LEDs.
