What does Perma mean?
PERMA theory was put forward by Martin seligman, the "father of positive psychology", in his book Sustained Happiness.

P

Positive emotions, positive emotions

The first element of Happiness 2.0 theory is positive emotion (happy life). This is also the first element in the theory of happiness 1.0. It is still the cornerstone of Happiness 2.0 theory, but there is a key change-happiness and life satisfaction, which is reduced from the goal of the whole theory to a factor contained in positive emotions.

E

Participate in input

Input is still an element. Just like positive emotions, they can only be evaluated subjectively. ("Do you feel that time has stopped?" "Are you completely immersed in the task?" "Have you forgotten yourself?" ) Positive emotion and participation are two elements of subjective evaluation in Happiness 2.0 theory. Positive emotion is an element of happiness (or pleasure), which contains all the common factors of subjective happiness: happiness, ecstasy, comfort, warmth and so on. However, we should remember that when we are in a flow state, we usually don't have any thoughts and feelings, and we only say "that was interesting" or "that was great" in retrospect. Therefore, the subjective feeling of happiness is now, and the subjective feeling of investment can only be recalled.

rare

interpersonal relationship

Someone once asked christopher peterson, one of the founders of positive psychology, to describe what positive psychology is about in two words, and he replied, "Other".

There are few positive times when you are lonely. When was the last time you had a good laugh? When was the last time you couldn't help laughing? What was the last time you felt profound significance and purpose? What about the last time you were extremely proud of your achievements? Even if I don't know when you experienced these bright spots in your life, I can still know their characteristics-they are all related to others.

M

Meaning meaning

Meaning means to belong to and devote yourself to what you think is beyond yourself, and I keep it as the third element of happiness. Meaning is subjective ("wasn't it the most meaningful to chat in the dormitory last night?" ), so it is likely to be included in positive emotions. As mentioned above, subjective factors are the decisive factors of positive emotions. People don't feel wrong about their happiness, ecstasy or comfort. Whatever you think it is, it is. However, the meaning is not like this: you may think that this party that sleeps all night is very meaningful, but when you stop smoking marijuana for many years, you will realize that this is obviously just a babble of youth.

A

Achievement achievement

Senia believes that some people pursue success, achievement, victory, achievement and skill itself, and her questioning of the theory of true happiness brings this element. I gradually believe that she is right. The temporary state mentioned above (positive emotions and meaning, or further, a happy life and a meaningful life) cannot contain all the ultimate pursuits of people. There are two other things that have contributed to the "Happiness 2.0 Theory", but they are not by-products of pursuing happiness or meaning.
