Dong Qing Farm, located in Qingpu District, Shanghai, was founded by the former Songjiang Bureau of Jiangsu Province 1952, and was then the 24th reeducation-through-labor team in Jiangsu Province. 1958, Songjiang agency was revoked, and the counties under its jurisdiction were successively assigned to Shanghai. At the beginning of 1959, Dong Qing Farm was changed to the jurisdiction of Shanghai Public Security Bureau, becoming the sixth reform-through-labour team in Shanghai. Later, due to the separation of reeducation through labor and the public security system, Dong Qing Farm was handed over to the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Justice. At present, there are 10 reeducation-through-labor units in this land, such as the third reeducation-through-labor camp, juvenile detention center, Qingpu prison and women's prison.
