1, coated paper
Coated paper, also known as printed coated paper, is made by coating a layer of white slurry on the base paper and then pressing it. Made of light, the paper surface is smooth, the whiteness is high, the paper fibers are evenly distributed, the thickness is consistent, the elasticity is small, the elasticity is good, the water resistance and tensile resistance are strong, and the ink is well absorbed and accepted. Coated paper is mainly used for printing picture books, covers, postcards, exquisite product samples and colored trademarks. When printing coated paper, the pressure should not be too high, and offset printing resin ink and bright ink should be used. In order to prevent the back from sticking dirty, methods such as adding antifouling agent and dusting can be adopted.
Weight: 70,80, 100, 120, 150,180200,210.240,250g/m2.
Specification of plain paper: 648× 953mm, 787× 970mm, 787× 1092mm.
2. Offset paper
Offset paper is mainly used for lithographic (offset) printing machines or other printing machines to print high-grade color printed matter, such as color pictorial, album, poster, color printing trademark and some advanced books, as well as book covers and illustrations. Offset paper is divided into special number, 1 number and No.2 according to the proportion of pulp. It has one side and two sides, and there are two grades of super calendering and ordinary calendering.
Offset paper has small flexibility, uniform ink absorption, good smoothness, compact and opaque texture, good whiteness and strong water resistance. Conjunctival offset printing ink and good quality lead ink should be selected. The viscosity of ink should not be too high, otherwise there will be powder removal and galling. Also to prevent the back from getting dirty, generally use antifouling agent, dusting or lining paper.
Weight: 50,60,70,80,90, 100, 120, 150, 180g/m2.

Web specification: 787mm, 1092mm, 850mm.
3, copperplate printing
The process of copperplate printing is to make the artwork into a positive film after photography and color separation, and then make the copperplate after printing and etching. A copper printing plate is just the opposite of an intaglio plate. The inking part of the pattern is raised and the blank part is depressed.
Advantages: high printing pressure, saturated ink color, thick text and flat background color.
Disadvantages: the mesh is coarse and the fineness is not suitable for plate-making printing, which is more suitable for printing simple pictures and texts. Copper plate printing expresses depth by dot size, but the text and background color are not mesh. In addition to on-site printing, there are also traces of ink spillage at the edge of the printed pattern because of the great pressure on the copper plate.
4. Offset printing
"Lithographic printing" and "offset printing" have the same meaning. This printing method is to transfer the ink on the rubber surface to the paper through a roller rubber stamp. Because the rubber surface is flat and there are no concave patterns, the patterns and patterns printed on paper are also flat, with no three-dimensional effect and poor anti-counterfeiting performance. Offset printing needs less ink, and the manufacturing cost of the mold is lower than that of gravure.
Coated paper is not used for offset printing, nor is offset paper used for offset printing. It's just that the printing method is different from that of printed matter and handicrafts. We can only say which paper is more suitable for which printing method.
