How to identify the latest CPU number rules
Meat buckle: the nickname of the core processor. Core 2 Duo is a new generation product system based on Core microarchitecture introduced by Intel. It is a cross-platform architecture system with different names on each platform. The server version is Woodcrest, the desktop version is Conroe, and the mobile version is Merom. U: short for CPU. The Chinese name of CPU( Central Processing Unit) is Central Processing Unit, which is responsible for the coordinated control and program running of the whole computer system. Sheep: refers to (Sai Yang). Some people in the industry call Sai Yang's "braised pork" version "mutton". First, the basic number identification method is a framework antivirus software, and we will carry out basic installation. We can call it ontology or framework. All future upgrade packages will be filled around this framework. So is CPU coding. The standard CPU number provides basic parameters, such as main frequency, secondary cache, front-end bus, family, and some more important overclocking information. Being able to identify the CPU number by yourself is the basic skill of a DIYer. When we assemble a new machine, we need to identify the comprehensive performance of CPU by serial number to confirm whether it has been switched by JS and whether it has excellent overclocking ability. So the CPU number is very important for DIY players. These codes are all marked on the shell, but depending on the material of the CPU shell, the numbers may be printed on the label or engraved on the shell. For example, the CPU is packaged in a metal shell that is conducive to heat dissipation, and the numbers will be engraved on the metal shell. If the CPU is packaged normally, the number will be printed on the sticker on the surface of the CPU. Code printed on the CPU shell (1) Intel: Code recognition method kills CPU. Not many antivirus software updates do not mean that the antivirus ability is not strong. We can think that it is a learning antivirus software. Before the emergence of viruses developed by alternative thinking, the antivirus software that everyone is used to does not need to be upgraded and replaced. This is the case with the Intel coding standard. On the shell of Intel CPU, there are generally five lines of coded information, including Intel trademark, product series model, core specification definition, S-Spec number, origin and so on. At present, Intel's most popular "meat buckle" product series models are all composed of a prefix letter plus four digits, and the symbol form is the letter ++XXXX, such as Core 2 Duo E6550. Here, we take the mainstream Intel Pentium E2 140 and Core 2 dual-core E4500 processors as examples to talk about coding information in detail. The current Intel CPU code identification method has existed for a long time, and Intel has no intention to "upgrade" the identification method before the emergence of a new architecture CPU. The first and second lines of the Intel Pentium E2 140 coding string on the CPU shell indicate the product family. Where "E" represents the TDP (Thermal Design Power Consumption) range of the processor, mainly for desktop processors. In addition, there are several types, such as T, L, U, etc. The beginning of "T" is more common in mobile platforms, and "L" and "U" stand for low-voltage version and ultra-low-voltage version respectively, with lower energy consumption. Due to the introduction of new and old processors, the last four bits become difficult to identify. Intel's official data only lists the processor model, without giving a detailed explanation. We can only summarize some currently applicable "unofficial" laws: in the case of the same prefix letters, the larger these numbers mean the higher the specifications of the product series, the last three digits indicate the specific product model, and the larger the number means the higher the specifications. The "PENTIUM" and "dual-core" in the second line indicate that the processor is a "Pentium" dual-core processor. The SLA3J character in the third line is the S-Spec number, which usually starts with SL, and the letters and numbers that follow only correspond to a certain frequency, buffer, external frequency and stepping processor. Ordinary users cannot directly see its meaning. You can enter these letters and numbers in the sSpec number column of Intel official website /default.aspx to get the detailed information of CPU. Malay means that the packing place is Malaysia. The fourth line of characters indicates the main frequency of the processor 1.6GHz, the secondary cache 1MB, and the front-end bus frequency of 800MHz. 06 indicates that its core step number is L2 (please refer to Hardware Evaluation Weekly, No.49, 2007 for step knowledge). For ordinary users, this line is the most important, it tells us about CPU. The last line of numbers indicates the serial number of the processor, indicating the production number and other information. Tip: According to the different power consumption of TDP, Intel desktop Conroe processors are divided into four grades: E, T, L and U, and the products starting with E are above 50W, mainly for desktop processors; T started with 24-49W products, mainly mobile processors; L stands for 15-24W low-voltage products; U stands for ultra-low voltage version below 14W. Previously, we taught you how to identify the Intel Pentium E2 140 code. This method is also applicable to Core 2 Duo E4500. Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 coded characters: Intel 05 E4500, Intel Core 2 Duo, SLA95 Malay, 2.20GHZ/2M/800/06, L732A77 1. Our novice directly mastered the key code of 2.20 GHz/2m/800/06, so we know that this is a Core 2 dual-core E4500 with a main frequency of 2.2GHz, a secondary cache of 2MB and a front-end bus frequency of 800MHz. (2) AMD: The purpose of marking the software upgrade package is to make the software more suitable for users. AMD introduced a new number identification method this time, which allows consumers to get more information from numbers. In order to make people understand the new numbers, we will compare Athlon X2 BE-2350 and Athlon 64x24000+. According to the performance parameters of the standard appraisal method, we can even call Athlon X2 BE-2350 an upgraded version of Athlon 64x24000+TDP with 45W. Comparing the two labeling methods, the words "Athlon" and "X2" have not changed, indicating that the products belong to the Athlon series, with two cores. There are many standard identification methods for identifying where to upgrade. Let's focus on the improvements in the new patch. You can't see "64" on Athlon X2 BE-2350, because 64-bit CPU is everywhere, so there's no need to hype this concept. Removing it can simplify the model. In addition, "BE-2350" can express much more information than "4000+". We can only distinguish CPU models from "4000+", but its performance parameters are very limited. BE-2350 is different. As shown in the figure, the first letter stands for market positioning, "B" stands for mid-range mainstream, "G" and "L" stand for high-end and entry-level respectively. The second letter stands for TDP, "E" stands for energy efficiency and low power consumption, "P" stands for over 65W, and "S" stands for about 65W. From the act of writing power consumption into the model, everyone can appreciate AMD's emphasis on power consumption. "2350" can be divided into three parts. The first number represents each product line. According to the latest information of AMD, 1000 series represents Sempron/Athlon single core, 6000 series represents Athlon dual core (currently, 2000 series representing Athlon dual core will probably be replaced by 6000 series), and 8000 series represents Phenom triple core and 9000 series. This is not quite the same as what we used to know. After determining which family the CPU is, the second number tells us the frequency level of the chip, and the rest is reserved for other additional functions. Then "BE-2350" tells us that it is a dual-core Athlon product, with a mid-range positioning and a TDP below 65W. The latest AMD CPU naming rules represent that Athlon Dual-Core 2000 series has been replaced by 6000 series code recognition. During the replacement of antivirus software, it is very normal that two versions of * * * exist in the world. Although the versions of antivirus software are different, their antivirus principles are basically the same. So is the identification code. Although AMD has two naming conventions, the method of code identification on the shell is very similar. As shown in the figure, the two CPU coding characters * * * are divided into four lines. The first line indicates the AMD trademark and processor type. You can see that it is a series of Athlon products, and according to the new naming rules of CPU, we can't see the word 64 in the coding of Athlon LE- 1620. AMD Athlon LE- 1620 coded character AMD Athlon 64x 24800+ coded character second line core specification definition, from this line we can get the basic parameters of CPU, such as cache, voltage, etc. This specification is divided into eight parts. The first paragraph consists of two letters, indicating which series the CPU belongs to, AD/SD/OS, representing Athlon(64)/Sempron/Opteron respectively. In the second paragraph, TDP is represented by a letter, and A/O/D stands for standard /65W/35W respectively. The "h" in Athlon LE- 1620 has not been officially confirmed, but we can boldly guess that it stands for low power consumption. "1620" is the third paragraph, which is a part of the product model "velong LE- 1620". The fourth segment is the interface, and "I" is the mainstream Socket AM2 interface. The fifth paragraph "a" and the sixth paragraph "a" respectively represent the operating voltage and the shell temperature. The second-level cache in the seventh segment is represented by numbers, and 3/4/5/6 represents128kb/256kb/512kb/1MB/2mb respectively. Need to be reminded that if it is a dual-core product, it needs to be divided by 2. For example, Athlon 64x 24800+ in the figure is coded as follows. The last two letters are made up of the core. For example, "DH" stands for a 65 nm Lima core. The third line Ccbff074 1cpmw is defined as the core period. Please note "074 1", which means that the production date of this processor is the 4th1week of 2007. The last line indicates the serial number of the product. If you buy a boxed product, it needs to be consistent with the check code of the box packaging, otherwise you should consider whether you have bought a counterfeit boxed product.
