The two brands once belonged to the Shanghai Rubber Shoe Company. It can be said that Hui Li shoes are the predecessor of Feiyue shoes.
The predecessor of Jai Alai, Yichang Rubber Products Factory, was established in 1927. In 1935, the "Hui Alai" shoe pattern trademark was officially registered. After liberation, after the public-private partnership in 1956 and the Shanghai rubber industry's successive mergers, reorganizations, and name changes, in the 1960s it was mainly used by Shanghai Rubber Shoes Factory No. 6 and Shanghai Rubber Shoes Factory No. 7.
The development history of Hui Li
The first "Hui Li" tire was produced by Shanghai Chint Rubber Factory in 1947. Chint Rubber Factory originated in 1927, and its development history is one of the enterprises founded by the national rubber industry in old China. The development history of Chint Rubber Factory is a microcosm of the ups and downs of the old Chinese national rubber industry.
As its products evolved from the famous "Hui Li sneakers" to "Hui Li" brand automobile tires, Chint Rubber Factory gradually became the backbone of China's national rubber industry. Chint Rubber Factory experienced many risks from 1927 to 1933. The disaster in 1933 almost pushed Chint Rubber Factory to the brink of bankruptcy.
The following year, Chint Rubber Factory miraculously stood up, and saw a faint dawn on the development journey of Chint Rubber Factory. The launch of the new trademark "Hui Li" is even more refreshing.
In 1935, Chint Xinji registered two trademarks, "Hui Li" and "WARRIOR".
On April 4, 1935, Shanghai Chint Company officially registered the Chinese "Hui Li" and English "Warrior" brands. The creativity of the Hui Alai trademark comes from the English "WARRIOR", which means warrior, warrior, fighter. Therefore, the homophony of "WARRIOR" resulted in the Chinese trademark name of "Hui Li", and "Hui Li" means "the power of returning to heaven", which means "the power of returning to heaven". A great strength that can overcome difficulties.”
In 1948, during the National Games held at Shanghai Jiangwan Stadium, the "Hui Li" brand was further promoted. Chint Rubber Factory carefully designed and closely contacted people from the sports and media circles to cooperate in publicity. Large eye-catching billboards are installed in sports venues to attract spectators, especially young students.
Chint Rubber Factory also strongly supports national sports. It once established a "Hui Li" basketball team.
In 1948, after the National Games, more than ten members of the basketball team of Liaoning Province had difficulty returning due to the war of liberation in the province. Traffic was interrupted. In order to obtain financial support, they decided to participate in sports through sports. According to the introduction of industry insider Qian Xucang, the factory agreed to take in this team. In June and July of that year, the "Huai Alai Basketball Team" was established.
This basketball team has gradually become a famous team on the Shanghai basketball court, playing in various places in mainland China and Hong Kong, objectively expanding the reputation of the "Huai Alai Brand". These basketball players were all converted into regular employees after liberation.
From 1950 to 1951, the country actively developed sports, and they were transferred out one after another and became the backbone of Chinese basketball. Some team members have served as teachers in sports schools, while others have become coaches or leaders of national, provincial or municipal basketball teams.
