The State Administration for Market Regulation is a department of the State Council responsible for supervising and managing the production and operation activities of market entities, maintaining market order and fair competition, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of consumers. As a department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Trademark Office is mainly responsible for the registration, management and protection of trademarks. Its responsibilities include: review, announcement and registration of trademark registration applications; review and make decisions on transfer, change, renewal, invalidation and other trademark applications; investigate and protect trademark infringements, etc. The work of the Trademark Office is of great significance to the trademark protection and brand building of enterprises, and it also provides consumers with better choices of goods and services.
The main responsibilities of the Trademark Office include:
1. Trademark registration: The Trademark Office examines trademark registration applications, determines whether the trademark meets the requirements of laws, regulations and trademark registration regulations, and Qualified trademarks are registered and a trademark registration certificate is issued;
2. Trademark management: The Trademark Office manages the use, change, transfer, and renewal of trademarks to ensure the legal use and management of trademarks;

Article 49 of the Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China
In the process of using the registered trademark, the trademark registrant If you change the registered trademark, registrant's name, address or other registration matters on your own initiative, the local industrial and commercial administration department will order you to make corrections within a time limit;
If you do not make corrections within the time limit, the Trademark Office will revoke the registered trademark. If a registered trademark becomes the common name of the goods approved for use or has not been used for three consecutive years without justifiable reasons, any unit or individual may apply to the Trademark Office to cancel the registered trademark.
The Trademark Office shall make a decision within nine months from the date of receipt of the application. If there are special circumstances that require an extension, it can be extended for three months with the approval of the industrial and commercial administration department of the State Council.
