2. Investigation process and results

1. Process: (field investigation)

(1) Hualian Supermarket

Our team went to Hualian to investigate, and the findings are as follows : Foods with green trademarks on the packaging are 85%, foods with production dates are 95%, foods with shelf life are 95%, foods with quality and safety signs are 90%, and foods with factory addresses are 95% .

(2) Wanda Supermarket

In Wanda Supermarket, our team members investigated: 80% of foods with green trademarks on the packaging, 90% of foods with production dates %, 95% for foods with shelf life, 80% for foods with quality and safety signs, and 90% for foods with factory addresses.

(3) Small shops near the school

In the small shops near the school, we were surprised to find that only 50% of the foods with green labels on the packaging had production dates. 65% of the products are food, 75% of the food has a shelf life, 70% of the food has a quality and safety mark, and 85% of the food has the factory address.

(4) Street Stalls

We were stunned at the street stalls. Only 15% of foods have green trademarks on their packaging, 10% have production dates, only 5% have shelf life, 5% have quality and safety signs, and 10% have factory addresses. %.

In order to better understand the food safety situation, our team checked the information online and found that urban consumers are highly concerned about food safety issues, and most consumers are willing to do so. Keep your food safe for a small extra fee.

Among urban consumers, 71.8% are most concerned about food safety, and only 0.6% are not concerned about food safety; 30% give priority to quality when buying food, 61.7% choose both quality and price, and "price first" Accounting for only 8%; more than 80% of consumers believe that the food safety situation in supermarkets is better than that of wholesale markets and farmers' markets. About 50% of high-income and middle-income people only go to supermarkets to buy food. The value orientation of rural consumers when purchasing food is mainly “price first”. According to the survey, 74.4% of rural consumers responded that they would give due consideration to food safety issues, but 43.7% still preferred cheap prices.

2. Results

Through the above survey, we found that citizens are highly concerned about food safety, but we are still far from the citizens' requirements for food safety. Citizens’ awareness of food safety precautions has been strengthened, and government departments should strengthen supervision.

5. Don’t eat “junk food” sold in small shops without business licenses.

We also know that we should buy food produced by regular manufacturers with production dates, shelf life, and green labels, and we also know how to use legitimate channels to protect our rights and interests.
