Belgian FN browning BDM pistol
The development of Browning ·BDM pistol is very interesting. It first appeared in 199 1, but it didn't start production until the end of 1990s. Most pistols with Browning's name are made in Belgium (for example, Browning M 19 10 Browning M 1922 Baobei Gaotimes), and some are made in other countries. Not to mention the Colt series pistols designed by Browning himself. The German-made SIG-Sauer P220 imported by Browning Arms Company in the 1970s was launched in the name of Browning Da. Then came the American-made Browning Backmark pistol. Finally, browning ·BDM. The gun was produced in the United States by FN Manufacturing Co., Ltd., an American subsidiary of Belgian FN Herstal Company, which also owns Browning's trademark, and Browning is always related to Belgium, so I voluntarily said that BDM is two countries, and the United States takes precedence.

BDM stands for double type, which means that both traditional double-acting and single-acting can be used on the same gun. The transformation of the double type can be completed in a few seconds by the small slot switch of the left sliding device. The switch has two positions, P stands for pistol or knife type and R stands for revolver or knife type. The switch can be changed to another position with a sharp object such as a knife or coin. BDM is equipped with a safety/lever device, which can be operated by both hands and is located on the gun body. To ensure safety, the operator must lower the joystick while keeping it in its original position. When the lever is pulled up and kept in the original position, there is no need to ensure safety.
Although it is very similar to Browning BDA pistol, BDM and BDA are different in some places: First, as the principle of backseat, there is Browning high-energy pointed barrel lock pistol, and BDM has Siger-Sauer lock system, when the barrel and single stock act on the exhaust pipe of sliding device; Another change from the traditional Browning style is that the split rod is located on the left side of the gun body, and the gun body must be lowered when the sliding device and the barrel move, replacing the manual sliding rod principle of the traditional powerful pistol; The top models of sliding devices are also different. It is not Browning's long rod device, but a small convex device in the gun body. The design has the same sight and grip as BD.
BDM is a very compact full-size and high-capacity combat pistol. It is reported that its operation is reliable and comfortable, but the unusual safety mode needs the shooter to adapt.
