What items in the trademark registration certificate can be changed?

There are usually 7 items on the "Trademark Registration Certificate", namely ① registration number, ② trademark mark, ③ approved category, ④ approved goods for use (service trademarks are approved service items), ⑤ registrant , ⑥Address of the registrant, ⑦Validity period of the registration certificate (see Insert 12 of this book). In practice, I encountered some inquiries from enterprises. They said that the business scope of the business license can be changed at the industrial and commercial department according to the needs of the enterprise. It was proposed that the trademark mark and approved products should also be changed. The reason was that the trademark was not carefully considered when registering the trademark. The trademark mark The graphics and text need to be changed, and at first only one or two product names were selected in this category, but now they need to be used on other products in this category. However, changes to relevant matters on the Trademark Registration Certificate are not the same as changes to relevant matters on an enterprise's business license. Enterprises need to pay attention to the fact that only the following 3 items among the 7 items on the "Trademark Registration Certificate" can be applied for changes: ① The name of the registrant can be changed. Because a registered trademark is an intangible asset of an enterprise and a private right, the enterprise has the right to transfer it, which involves changing the name of the trademark registrant. In addition, corporate restructuring and corporate name changes will involve changes in the name of the trademark registrant. The previous question 101 mentioned that corporate bankruptcy also involves the "transfer" of trademark exclusive rights. Therefore, the name of the registrant on the "Trademark Registration Certificate" can be applied for change; ②The address of the registrant can be changed. Such as address changes after company relocation, address changes involved in the transfer of registered trademarks, etc. Therefore, the registrant's address on the "Trademark Registration Certificate" can also apply for change; ③ According to the provisions of Article 46 of the "Trademark Law Implementation Regulations"; a trademark registrant who applies to cancel the registration of his trademark on some designated goods should apply to Submit an application for trademark cancellation to the State Trademark Office. That is to say, for the approved goods (or approved services) on the "Trademark Registration Certificate", if the enterprise believes that certain goods or services will not be used in the future, it can apply for partial cancellation (change). What enterprises need to pay attention to here is that they can only apply for cancellation (change) or reduction of the goods or services approved for use on the "Trademark Registration Certificate", but cannot apply for changes to increase the goods or services approved for use. Because Article 21 of the Trademark Law stipulates: “If a registered trademark needs to be used on other goods of the same category, a separate application for registration shall be submitted.” However, in practice, for the approved goods or services on the Trademark Registration Certificate, even if an enterprise does not use some of the goods or services for a long time, it will not take the initiative to apply for cancellation (change) reduction.
