Service life of old and new trademarks
The registered service life of a trademark is 10 years, and it can be renewed after 10 years, and each renewal time is ten years. According to Article 37 of the Trademark Law, the period of validity of a registered trademark is ten years, counting from the date of approval of registration. According to the provisions of Article 38 of the Trademark Law, if a registered trademark needs to be used continuously after the expiration of the validity period, it shall apply for renewal of registration within six months before the expiration of the validity period; If no application for extension is made during this period, it can be extended for six months. Where an application has not been filed at the expiration of the grace period, its registered trademark shall be cancelled. The period for each renewal of a registered trademark is ten years. After the renewal of registration is approved, it shall be announced.
