I went to Hong Kong on the third day of the Lunar New Year this year, with a family of three, for five days and four nights.
We are a self-guided tour and do not travel with groups.
The first day
We went to Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok, and Yau Ma Tei for a short tour. Well, we arrived in the afternoon, so it was already evening after the tour.
Generally speaking, these places are crowded and mixed. Nike, Adidas... many of them are fakes, and I didn’t buy anything.
Then we went to Harbor City. Things were no cheaper than in the mainland! On the other hand, Sasa and Bonjour are everywhere.
You can go to the Avenue of Stars at night to see the night view of Victoria Harbor. (I'm a lazy guy, so I didn't go there. Daddy and Mommy went there, so I don't know what it was like...)
We stayed at the Weiqingxuan Hotel. The hotel was not good, and the bed was not good. Small and hard. But the Shunde Gongyu Village opposite the hotel is really recommended! ! ! ! The morning tea there starts at 5:00 and lasts until the afternoon, which is very authentic! We live across the street and had morning tea for 4 days (chicken feet with drum sauce, steamed fish chews, spring rolls, preserved egg and lean meat porridge...we order these every day~) Highly recommended to try! ! ! !
The next day
Go to Ocean Park
Depressing! The doors opened at 10:00, and we took the subway to go at 12:00, but entry was temporarily suspended! It is recommended to go early.
Ocean Park has large-scale entertainment facilities: roller coaster, what's the name of the rapidly rising one, earthshaking, pirate ship...
At the foot of the mountain, there is a panda pavilion and sea lions Pavilion, Bird Pavilion...
I left the park at 3:00 pm, and then went to Central. There are some top-notch shopping malls in Central. Alas! The middle class like us cannot afford it. If you have sufficient financial support, I suggest you go to Central to check it out!
The third day
Disney, I think Disney is more fun than Ocean Park. Disney is a warm and lovely fairy tale world with four parts: Fantasy World, Tomorrowland, Adventure World, American Town
Opens at 10:00 in the morning. As soon as you enter, you will find American Town. There are many souvenir shops, = =! Our family bought more than a thousand clothes alone...
After buying souvenirs, we immediately went to Fantasy World. After passing the castle, there was a 3D animation of Mickey and Donald Duck on the left hand side, 11:45 There is a scene that is very beautiful, with water dripping on your face, and the wind harmonizing with the scene, making you immersed in it!
There will be an animated character parade at 1:20 p.m., a Lion King performance at 2:00 p.m., and a Mickey Gold Medal Musical (a must-see) at 4:00 p.m.
Note: There are some rides You can make an appointment for the project, so you don’t have to wait in a long queue, = =! We have suffered a lot! (Like Roller Coaster, Lightyear, etc., there is a machine next to it. You put the ticket in and spit out a reservation slip. It has the time of your reservation, which is forty minutes later. There are also reservation slips signed by the waiter. ! )
I played Disney until 7:00, and there was a fireworks show at 8:00. I didn’t watch it because my dad couldn’t stand the queue. After watching The Lion King, he went shopping in Tung Chung. We couldn’t stand it. His phone calls were harassing, so I took the subway to Tung Chung at 7 o'clock. Exit C is the shopping mall. The discounts in Tung Chung are quite fierce! It is suitable for men to shop. Women cannot buy anything good (= =! Personal opinion). For example, POLO is discounted by 30% off and the original price is more than 1,000. Now it costs 400 to 500 yuan a piece. There is also a Samsonite box. I bought one for 1,800. Yes, it costs four to five thousand in the mainland!
Day 4
The Peak of Victoria Peak
Attention! ! ! ! ! ! !
During the peak tourist season, you must not take the cable car to the top of the mountain. You must take a double-decker bus in Central to the top of the mountain, and then take the cable car when going down the mountain, because there are so many people going up the mountain.
I'm super lucky. We took the bus in a daze. When we arrived at the bus stop, we realized we were already at the top of the mountain. There were very few people on the cable car. When we got to the bottom of the mountain, I behaved like a good boy and waited in line... p>
The view from the top of the mountain is very good, including the high-rise buildings and the sea around Victoria Harbor...
Then, I went to Causeway Bay. I visited many shopping malls, and cosmetics were only 50 cheaper than in the mainland. To 100, boring! Maybe it was the Chinese New Year, so there were no discounts in shopping malls, except for the discounts at Sogo Department Store. My dad bought a lot of POLO YY, but I didn’t buy anything.
Attention! Attention!
We took the subway to Cai Cai this evening, then took a minibus to Saigon to eat seafood! ! ! !
After getting off the minibus, there are three restaurants. I recommend Quanji Seafood Restaurant, which is the most popular! The rich shrimp is so big that it is 20 centimeters!
However, every seafood in Quanji is subject to processing fees! For example, if you order rich shrimps, if you order three, the processing fee will be 40 yuan. If you order 6, the processing fee will still be 40 yuan. We ordered 4 types of seafood, so the processing fee will be around 200 yuan. But it’s really delicious. We ate it this time and it cost 1125. If you can afford it, I suggest you go to Saigon to eat it, or have a set meal, which will be cheaper! (The minibuses in Hong Kong are very formal, you can swipe your Octopus, and there are speed indicators!)
Day 5
Take the subway to Yuen Long, eat well at the ground floor restaurant noodles, remember, you must order XX lo mein! There are also victory beef balls and wife cakes!
Strong Note: 1. Don’t go to those seafood stalls in Yau Ma Tei or Temple Street. They are dirty, messy, and extremely expensive. Each dish costs 50 to 61 times and is cooked in a microwave!
2. There are a lot of fakes in Hong Kong. My dad went to Dunhill in Tung Chung shopping mall to buy a suit. The waiter lied to us and said that some of the suits were unbuttoned because of the manufacturer. He gave us a very low discount. At first glance, there is not even a Dunhill trademark on the suit!
3. Because we are close to Shunde Gongyu Village, we eat there every day. It is really classic. The preserved egg and lean meat porridge is also very good. Locals eat here and the waiters are all in their forties or fifties. The old man is very friendly, and you can even see the lady giving out red envelopes~
4. For shopping, ordinary middle-class people, don’t have too much confidence in going to Hong Kong. Those who are gearing up, in fact, Hong Kong is really not cheaper than the mainland. How much? When I went this time, there were discounts at the shopping mall in Tung Chung and the SOGO department store in Causeway Bay. = =They were all branded by Man...
5. It is best to get an Octopus card. After passing the customs, there is a customer service center to handle it. One ticket per person, 50 deposit, and 300 more. We can play for 5 days. You can use it in subways, buses, supermarkets, coffees, and McDonald's, which is very convenient!
6. In Hong Kong, you must stand on the right side when taking an elevator. My mom absolutely does not follow the rules. She stood on the left side and did not say anything when people lined up at the back. As a result, my dad pulled her to the right side. Come to the right, and the people behind the house are coming up in a hurry... Eating and drinking are strictly prohibited on buses and subways, and spitting and littering will result in fines. Violators will be punished by law!
7. Hong Kong’s subway lines are very developed, and all basic tourist attractions can be reached by subway
