The Daijiagou Laolongdong reef in Beibei District is reef limestone of the Changxing Formation of the Upper Permian. It is located in the Tianfu coal mine area in the northeast of the district. Structurally, it belongs to the west of the Yangtze quasi-platform and the Sichuan Tai Depression East Sichuan Depression fold belt. The Guanyinxia anticline was discovered in April 1983. This reef zone is perfectly developed and is of great significance to the study of the Permian mass extinction and the eastern Sichuan region.
The section of the lower section of the Feixianguan Formation of Baimiaozi is located from Baimiaozi to Fuhuang Cement Plant on the Jialing River in Guanyin Gorge. The section is complete and various facies signs are obvious. Due to the river water, the bottom was not exposed and was submerged.
The geological section of the Jingangbei Artesian Well Group is located on the Jialing River. The exposed strata of the Jurassic Artesian Well Group contain rare freshwater phase bioclastic limestone, reflecting the period from the late Early Jurassic to the Middle Jurassic. In the early sedimentary environment of shallow lake-shore lake and the lake bottom began to rise, the color of the sediments was purple-red-tawny-grey from bottom to top, reflecting a dry-semi-dry-warm and humid climate environment.
Sedimentary facies section of the first and second members of the Jialingjiang Formation in Yaojiagou, Wadianzi. The sedimentary facies represent another transgressive deposition during the Jialingjiang Formation period, and the surrounding area became a shallow ocean. During the initial intrusion of seawater into Feixianguan, the western ancient continent had a considerable supply of terrestrial materials. The adjacent southern and western Sichuan mainly developed muddy sediments, and the local area was a restricted platform and evaporative platform sediment.
