the cruus mark
◇ the mark for approved parts in Canada and the United States
this is a new ul approved part mark, which came into effect on April 1, 1998. It can be used for parts certified by UL according to both Canadian and American requirements. Originally, UL did not intend to introduce a combination approval component mark, but introduced this new mark because UL certificate users whose products were sold to Canada and the United States liked the Canadian/American list and grading mark very much.

◇ Approved component logo and Canadian approved component logo
Ordinary consumers rarely see these logos because they are used in parts, which are parts of some larger products or systems. These parts themselves cannot directly constitute a complete product, or their use is limited. Parts approval marks can be seen in a large number of products, including some switches, power supplies, printed wiring boards, certain kinds of industrial control equipment, and thousands of other products. Products intended to be sold in the Canadian market are labeled with an approved part with a "C" letter.
