The Historical Evolution of Huzhen
Huzhen Town is located in the northeast of Jinyun County, 25 kilometers away from the county seat, on the Haoxi alluvial basin at the northwest foot of Kuocang Mountain. Stone dragons surround the back in front of the saddle, surrounded by the sky and flat buildings, and village factories and shops are dotted.

A good stream is blue, like an elegant jade belt, passing through the south of the town. Huzhen is located in the hinterland of the intersection of "three governments (Chuzhou, Wuzhou and Taizhou in ancient times, namely Lishui, Jinhua and Taizhou today) and four counties (Jinyun, Yongkang, Pan 'an and Xianju)". It connects Cangling Ancient Post Road from Xianju in the east, Yongkang in the west and Cangling in the south, with a post station and a gold (China) platform.

Mouth, only 20 kilometers south of Jinwen Railway and Jinliwen Expressway. Huzhen has developed and prospered since ancient times and is an important commercial distribution center in central and southern Zhejiang.

The existing town covers an area of 228 square kilometers, of which the market town covers an area of 4.5 square kilometers, governing 55 administrative villages and 8 neighborhood committees, with a registered population of 83,000 and a permanent population of105,000.

In 2007, the town's total industrial and agricultural output value was 5.023 billion yuan, accounting for more than one third of the county's total industrial economy, and its fiscal revenue was 65.438+0.55 billion yuan. In 2009, the town achieved an industrial output value of 7.55 billion yuan and a fiscal revenue of 230 million yuan. In 2065.438+00, the town achieved an industrial output value of 9.234 billion yuan and a total fiscal revenue of 30.500 yuan.

Since the end of 20 10, it has been listed as a pilot town in 27 small cities in the province. Driven by various policies and measures, the economy and society of Huzhen have shown unprecedented vitality. 20 1 1 year, the town's total industrial output value11700 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28%; The fiscal revenue was 476,543.8 billion+,an increase of 54%; The total GDP was 3.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28%. The cultivation of small cities shows a very beautiful development prospect of lakes and towns!

There are 26 enterprises with over 100 million yuan, national patent demonstration enterprises 1 company, 5 provincial high-tech enterprises, 4 well-known trademarks in China, 7 provincial famous trademarks and 4 famous brand products in Zhejiang, forming massive industrial clusters such as sewing machines, band saws, knives, building materials, hardware and cookers. Huzhen Town has successively won more than 20 national and provincial honorary titles such as "National Advanced Town in Rural Construction" and "Top 100 Towns with Comprehensive Economic Strength". It is the first batch of small town construction pilot towns in China, the national comprehensive economic development demonstration town and the first batch of provincial-level central towns in Zhejiang Province. 20 10 12, Huzhen was included in the first batch of pilot towns for cultivating small cities in Zhejiang Province, and it is the only key town in Jinyun County and Lishui City. The Northern Song Dynasty's "Yuanfeng Jiuyu Ji" [Note 2] said: "Shang (referring to Shang County) is Jinyun, Zhou (referring to Chuzhou) is 110 miles northeast, and five townships (Wan 'an, Jingfu, Guanzheng, Xiandu and Meihua) are towns. This "Chen Hu"-town refers to today's Huzhen town. At that time, the state government had jurisdiction over six counties (Lishui, Longquan, Songyang, Suichang, Jinyun and Qingtian), and the establishment of the "town" was only "Huchen" in Jinyun and "Jiulong" in Lishui County (the resident of the ancient government and county was not called "town" by "square"). The neighboring Wuzhou Prefecture governs seven counties, of which only Jinhua County has a "filial piety town".

Therefore, it has been called "Huchen", "Jiulong" and "Filial Piety" since ancient times as the three ancient towns in central and southern Zhejiang. First, the above information can show that there were not many people who could be designated as "towns" in the Tang and Song Dynasties. Second, it is not difficult to imagine that in ancient times, it would take a long time for a place to develop into a market town; Third, Huzhen has been a developed and prosperous ancient town and important town since ancient times, which is irrefutable proof. As a thousand-year-old town, Huzhen has accumulated a strong history and culture, and there was a market in the Tang Dynasty. There are ancient buildings here, such as Jiusong Temple, Huiming Temple and Beauty Academy in Song Dynasty, Ruan Gong Jiang Dian Tai Monk's Study Room in Ming Dynasty, and Chongzheng Academy Monument in Qing Dynasty, which show the past glory of Huzhen. Why did the ancient town of Huzhen begin to be called "Chen Hu"? The village is named after the surname of the settlement, which has been common since ancient times. There are 134 villages in Jinyun county named after their residential surnames, accounting for one tenth of the total number of villages in the county. According to legend, the town was named because two clans, Hu and Chen, lived here at that time, which should be said to be credible. After the name change in Huzhen area, there are still village names such as "Huzhaikou", "Hu (Hu) Chuan" and "Tangzhaichen", which can also explain this problem from one side.

However, the existing explanation of the specific source of the town name "Chen Hu" should be corrected.

In the local data, the origin of the name of "Chen Hu" is the Records of Jinyun County in the 23rd year of Kangxi, in which the section "Liu Yu" contains: "Hu Sen, Suzhou native, Wu Jie doctor, the first official in the southeast. From to, I moved around Jinyun Beautifying Township (today's Huzhen Town, Yanling Township, Baizhu Township and Lengshui Town of Pan 'an County, Incheon Town and Shuangfeng Township), and moved with Chen from time to time, taking the city as the surname, so it was called' Chen Hu' because of its name. "From this passage alone, the origin of the town name of' Chen Hu' is clear at a glance, but if compared with other materials, it is full of fallacies." Emperor Gaozong's southward crossing was the third year of Jian Yan in the Southern Song Dynasty, that is, 1 129. The Records of Yuanfeng's Nine Domains were published in the third year of Yuanfeng in the North School, namely 1080.

Therefore, in the twenty-ninth year of Daoguang (1849), the section of "Discrimination of Fakes" in the Records of Jinyun County pointed out that "... according to the Records of Yuanfeng Jiuyu in Cun Wang, there are five townships in Jinyun County. According to this, the famous town of' Chen Hu' was in the Northern Song Dynasty, not after living in Hu Sen. " Hu Sen is not recorded in the history books. Jinyun recorded: "Hu Sen (958 ~ 1030), named Gong En, doctor of martial arts. Because I went back to Yongjia to worship my ancestors and passed through Jinyun Huang Bi, I heard that the tiger in Fenggongling hurt people. His wife Chen was frightened, so he lived in Huangbidong and moved to Dongshan for Hu's family.

He died at 1030. It can be seen that Hu had moved to Dongshan Jinyun before the publication of Yuanfeng Jiu Yu Lu, but he lived in Dongshan (the second capital of Wan 'an Township in ancient times, but now it belongs to the new garden and jade area) instead of "beautifying the township". Later, the descendants of Hu Sen did move to the present Huzhen area, but that was after the fourth generation. In addition, Chen moved to Huchen Ancient Town, and Jinyun recorded: "Chen, Miyazawa's Chizhai ... was the first year of Jiayou (1056), and Shi Cong (the third son of Chen Zhizhong, the prime minister of the Northern Song Dynasty) took his family to beautify Jinyun Town. I heard that there was a word' beauty' in it and settled down.

As mentioned earlier, in ancient times, few people wanted to be called "towns" and it took a long time to breed. Judging from the time when Hu and Chen moved into the ancient town, Chen's surname came first and Hu's surname came last. Even if Chen Shicong moved in the first year of Jiayou in the Northern Song Dynasty (1056), it was only more than 20 years since Yuan Feng's third year (1080), and it was impossible to develop into a town named after a surname. It can be considered that Hu and Chen in the ancient town moved to the area at that time. At the latest, at the beginning of the Northern Song Dynasty (960) and before, they made efforts and contributions to the early prosperity of Huzhen, but their diaspora must have left Jinyun and gone to new areas for development.
