1. Reclining Buddha Temple
Reclining Buddha Temple is located in Wofo Valley, Bamiao Township, Anyue County. It is 40 kilometers north of Anyue County and 5 kilometers from Bamiao Xiangchang Town; the Reclining Buddha Temple is on the cliffs about 20 meters high on both sides of the one-kilometer-long Wofo Valley. Its statue area is 865 meters long and the niches are 142. There are 1,613 stone statues and 15 caves with Buddhist scriptures carved in stone.
2. Pilu Cave
Pilu Cave is located on Tazi Mountain in Youping Village, Chiyun District, Shiyang Town, southeast of Anyue County, 45 kilometers away from the county. It is the general name for Pilu Cave, Youju Cave, Thousand Buddha Cave and Guanyin Hall. There are 465 cliff-carved statues and 32 inscriptions.
3. Yuanjue Cave
Yuanjue Cave is located on Yunju Mountain in Jinhua Village, Yueyang Town, Anyue County, 1 km southeast of the county. It began in the Tang Dynasty and flourished in the Five Dynasties and Northern Song Dynasty. , named after the caves excavated during the Northern Song Dynasty and carved with twelve circles, is a comprehensive scenic tourist area integrating stone carving culture, natural landscape, popular science education, and tourist reception center.
4. Qianfo Village
Qianfo Village is located on Dayun Mountain, 2.5 kilometers northwest of Anyue County. Because of the naturally formed rock villages around the top of the mountain, there are large and small Buddha statues carved on the cliffs. It is named after more than 3,000 people. It was named "Qiyan Temple" in the Tang Dynasty and was renamed "Qianfo Temple" during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. Thousand Buddhas Temple originally had five palaces. It has experienced thousands of years of vicissitudes and has experienced several ups and downs. In 1974, a mentally ill patient burned down the only remaining main hall. Only the thousands of statues on the cliff are left, so the people also call it Qianfo Village.
5. Huayan Cave
Huayan Cave is named after the "Three Saints of Huayan" engraved inside. The cave is 6.2 meters high, 11.1 meters wide and 11.3 meters deep. The front of the cave is rectangular. The statues in Huayan Cave are mainly Tantric, and they are statues of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism, with 39 themes. It is a masterpiece of stone carving art in the Northern Song Dynasty and the largest and best-preserved cave among the statues in the Anyue Stone Carvings Tourist Area.
6. Mingshan Temple
Mingshan Temple, also known as Hutou Temple, is located on the top of Hutou Mountain in Minle Village, Dingxin Township, Anyue County, 60 kilometers away from Anyue County. The temple got its name because "the Zen Buddhism of the Tang Dynasty was spread in famous mountains". The temple was first built in the Yuanhe period of the Tang Dynasty and flourished in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is a mountain-type scenic tourist area integrating stone carving culture, mountain climbing and sightseeing, and seeking knowledge.
7. Mumen Temple
Mumen Temple is located at the foot of Qingquan Mountain in Mumen Village, Shigu Township, Anyue County, 20 kilometers north of Anyue County and 4 kilometers away from the Reclining Buddha Temple in Bamiao Township. Founded in the first year of Hongxi in the Ming Dynasty (1425), it is a tourist area integrating ancient architectural scenic spots and natural scenery.
8. Xuanmiao Temple
Xuanmiao Temple is located at the foot of Baiyang Mountain, Yuanda Town, Anyue County, Ziyang City, Sichuan Province, 20 kilometers away from Anyue County and 5 kilometers away from Yuanda Town. Xuanmiao Temple was founded in the Tang Dynasty. Xuanmiao Temple is a popular spot for Taoist statues in China. The cliff statues are distributed around a mushroom-shaped flat-top boulder, which is about 10 meters long in the front and back, about 6 meters long in the left and right sides, and about 5 meters high. The top is flat. There are 79 statue niches carved into the walls on all sides, and there are 1,293 stone statues, all of which are exquisite carvings from the Tang Dynasty.
9. Peacock Cave
The Peacock Cave is located between the rock walls of the Peacock Temple in Kongque Village, Shuanglong Street Township, Anyue County, adjacent to the Mingshan Temple Scenic Area and 60 kilometers away from the county seat. In the fourth year of Longqing in the Ming Dynasty (1750 AD), monk Chongzhi built a temple here. Because the ancestors had the Peacock King engraved on it, it was named Peacock Temple. The cave is dug into the rock and is 4.7 meters high, 4.3 meters wide and 2.7 meters deep.
