Extended data
Company brand originated from "Lei" with a history of nearly 300 years. 1860 moved from Suzhou to Shanghai and gradually developed. During the Republic of China, it became the leading Chinese patent medicine brand in China. After liberation, it was gradually merged and restructured into "Shanghai Leiyunshang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.", which inherited the essence of Shanghai Leiyun's pharmaceutical industry for hundreds of years and the mantle of Shanghai's traditional Chinese medicine pharmaceutical industry since the founding of the People's Republic of China.
By the eleventh year of the Republic of China (1922), Lei had developed into a huge Chinese patent medicine system with more than ten categories and hundreds of varieties, which was as famous as Beijing Tongrentang at home and abroad. Sometimes it is said that there is thunder in the south and Tong Ren Tang in the north. Its trademark "Nine Rabbits" became one of the earliest registered trademarks in China.
Chiang Kai-shek, Zhang Xueliang, Yu Youren and other dignitaries at that time, after taking Lei Yun's patented medicine, all offered pills specially for Lei Yun's inscription, which was highly praised. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), Chen Minzhang, former Minister of Health, wrote an inscription for Lei Yun, saying that his reputation was thunderous and his future was boundless.
