In November 1969, the Second Petroleum Machinery Factory of the Ministry of Petroleum Industry was established in Zheshan, Zhenping County, Henan Province. In December 1971, it was transferred to the local government and renamed Henan Nanyang Petroleum Machinery Factory; 1972 In December 1975, the Ministry of Fuel Chemical Industry changed the name of Nanyang Petroleum Machinery Factory to the Second Petroleum Machinery Factory of the Ministry of Fuel Chemical Industry; in March 1975, it was renamed to the Second Petroleum Machinery Factory of the Ministry of Petrochemical Industry; in February 1976, it began to operate in Nanyang City. A new factory was built and renamed the Second Petroleum Machinery Factory of the Ministry of Petroleum in April 1978 and the Second Petroleum Machinery Factory of China National Petroleum Corporation in December 1988. In 1989, the relocation from Zhenping Zheshan to Nanyang City was basically completed; In January 1992, it was renamed Nanyang Petroleum Machinery Factory and was directly under the leadership of Henan Petroleum Exploration Bureau; on June 26, 2004, Nanyang Petroleum Machinery Factory was restructured into Nanyang Erji Petroleum Equipment (Group) Co., Ltd.
