Rural development - cultivating new industries and harvesting "rich fruits"
A flower supports the integration of agriculture and tourism, and a bunch of fruits builds the town's signature. Since this year, Chagugang Town, Wuqing District, Tianjin has used "peaches" and "grapes" as media to cultivate and develop new rural industries and new formats, actively extend and expand the agricultural industry chain, accelerate the development of modern and efficient agriculture, and continuously expand channels for farmers to increase their income and become rich.
Flowers bloom in May and everything flourishes. The vines in each grape shed in Huliuzi Village are green, new shoots are sprouting out, and they are thriving. Grower Toda Mune is arranging the grape trellis in his greenhouse. "From the time when the grape vines sprout at the end of April to when they are harvested and put on the market at the end of July, we have to go to the shed to take care of the fruit trees almost every day, for fear that a single oversight will ruin the harvest for the year."
Grapes are Hu Liuzi’s “rich fruit” and the “golden business card” of Chagu Port. As early as 2015, "Huliuzi Grape" obtained the National Geographical Indication Certification Trademark. In the same year, Hu Liuzi was included in the national list of “one village, one product” model villages and towns. Last year, it undertook the National Standards Committee's "Grape-Vegetable Solar Greenhouse Three-dimensional Planting Comprehensive Standardization Demonstration Area" project, and this year it applied for the vegetable production base project around Beijing. The village currently has 1,325 acres of cultivated land, including 400 acres of grape sheds. Last year, the output was 1,500 tons and sales were 5 million yuan.
The reputation is getting louder and louder, and the steps are more sonorous. In order to allow the "rich fruit" to bear "new fruit", the village plans to introduce 5,000 high-quality grape varieties such as Sunshine Rose and Queen Nina before the end of the year. The establishment of standards for sales, packaging and other aspects has been changed from "each in charge" to "one standard". Grape cultivation in the whole village will form a joint force. It is expected that the yield, price and sales per mu will increase, and the average increase in benefits per mu will exceed 500 yuan. . "Next, Hu Liuzi will also develop contract farming, and actively strive to undertake vegetable, fruit and grain crop breeding base projects, cooperate with scientific research institutes, seek benefits from seeds, start from the 'core', and rush towards revitalization." Hu Liuzi Village Party Tan Xiangwen, secretary of the branch and director of the village committee, said.
Starting from Huliuzi Village, 8 kilometers southeast is the famous Jinxi Taoyuan in Chagugang Town. "The peach red contains the rain, and the willow green brings the morning smoke." Every time when the peach blossoms are red and the willows are green, the annual Peach Blossom Festival is held here. As of April this year, it has been successfully held for seven times. Last month's Peach Blossom Festival not only had the beautiful scenery of "peach blossoms bloom first in spring", but also had live performances by famous folk artists. The natural scenery and "cultural feast" attracted many tourists. At present, the peach blossoms have come to an end, new greenery is spreading, and the peach groves in the garden are giving birth to a new "sweet" harvest.
"Harvest" is more than one thing--
Smell the fragrance of flowers in spring. Since its opening in 2015, Jinxi Taoyuan has received more than 2 million tourists from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
Taste the fragrance of peach in autumn. More than ten varieties of Kubo, flat peach, and nectarine are planted in the garden. Last year, the output was 10 tons and the sales volume was about 400,000 yuan. This year's output is expected to reach 11 tons. Traditional sales channels such as picking and wholesale will keep pace with online sales channels such as short video platforms, allowing more consumers to taste high-quality fruits.
There are fruits and vegetables in all seasons. In addition to further adding and upgrading tourist supporting facilities, the place will also use greenhouses to provide tourists with special fruit and vegetable products all year round. In accordance with the development model of promoting agriculture and integrating agriculture and tourism, it strives to build a romantic, beautiful and trendy new urban paradise.
“In the next step, Chagugang Town will adapt to local conditions, continue to rely on local characteristic resources such as grapes, peach blossoms, peaches, etc., focus on making a good product of 'local specialties', and improve and strengthen urban leisure agriculture and Rural tourism promotes the deep integration of the three rural industries and the upgrading of the entire rural industry chain, helping to comprehensively promote rural revitalization," said Liu Shaogui, mayor of Chagugang Town.
