The Madrid Treaty is an agreement concluded by 53 member countries including Albania, Algeria and Armenia. It is the abbreviation of Madrid Agreement on International Registration of Trademarks. The content is an international agreement on simplifying the registration procedures of trademarks in other countries.
The Treaty of Madrid was signed in Madrid in April 189 1 and came into force in July 1892. The Madrid Agreement has been revised many times since it came into effect.
