Shanxi is actually a province with a popular wine culture, and it is also a rich producer of light-flavor liquor. Fenjiu, the representative of light-flavor liquor, comes from Shanxi. However, there is more than just Fenjiu wine here. The next three ration wines are not as famous as Fenjiu, but they all taste good, and those who know them are experienced wine lovers.
Fenyang King is produced in Fenyang City, Shanxi. It adopts the production process of fragrant Daqu wine with a history of thousands of years. It uses local high-quality red sorghum as raw material, supplemented by barley and pea formula to make koji for saccharification. Agents and ferments are continuously fermented in earth vats and distilled over slow fire.
After the original wine is brewed, it will be stored in pottery jars for several years, and then carefully prepared to become the Fenyang King Wine that everyone sees on the market. Its wine body has the typical style of being elegant and pure, sweet and refreshing, full-bodied and with a long aftertaste. It has repeatedly won the honorary titles of Shanxi Province Famous Brand Products, Shanxi Province Famous Trademarks, and Consumer Guidance Brands.
Because Fenyang King tastes good and is reasonably priced, the entry-level Huang Gaifuzang costs about the same as the old village chief, so it has become a favorite among local salarymen.
Liuquxiang Liquor is a product of Liuquxiang Liquor Factory in Qixian County, Shanxi Province. It was named Shanxi Province Famous Liquor in 1974. In 1984, it won the Gold Cup Award at the Liquor Quality Competition of the Ministry of Light Industry and was ranked first in the country. It won the title of National Quality Wine in the third, fourth and fifth wine evaluation conferences, and won the National Quality Product Silver Award.
With many awards, it is not difficult to see the quality of this liquor. Qixian County, where Liuqu Xiangjiu is produced, has fertile soil, abundant water resources, and is rich in sorghum, wheat and other grains. The raw materials for brewing Liuqu Xiangjiu are local high-quality sorghum, and then use grain bran and rice husk as auxiliary materials for brewing. Because it uses six bacterial strains to make bran koji and has a unique fragrance, it is called "Liuqu Xiang".
Liuquxiang wine has a clear and transparent body, pure fragrance, mellow and refreshing taste, soft and sweet taste, and a lingering fragrance after drinking. The price is very affordable, about the same as a cup of milk tea, so you won’t feel bad even if you drink it every day.
Bamboo Leaf Green Liquor is a remade product of Fenjiu and is also a product of Fenjiu Group. It is made from Fenjiu liquor as the base liquor and more than ten kinds of precious medicinal materials using a unique production process. Therefore, the wine not only has the fragrance of Fenjiu, but also the unique aroma formed by the infusion of medicinal materials. It is very unique and it was once difficult to find a bottle on the market.
The taste of Bamboo Leaf Green Liquor is very different from that of traditional liquor. Because there are more ingredients added to it, it tastes more like a cocktail. It has a smooth entrance, a slightly bitter aftertaste, and a wine-like taste. Mild and non-irritating. Although the price of this wine is higher than the previous two, it is still within a hundred yuan, and it is a good choice to drink occasionally.
I don’t know which of these three regional wines in Shanxi have you tried?
