Not long ago, Ford released a new design concept "Potential Energy Aesthetics", and the artistic sculptures under this concept were officially unveiled at the 2020 Beijing International Auto Show. This also officially previews the design language of Ford's new cars in the next few years. Ford said that the design of future models will follow a "step-by-step sense of energy."
This sculpture can see the trend of the body contour gradually becoming streamlined from the front end to the rear section. The front of the car has an obvious sense of muscle, which may not be suitable for the new Ford Mustang Mache-E model. Extending rearward, the body gradually becomes smooth and rounded, and presents a drop-shaped shape at the rear, connecting the roof and rear of the car.
The Ford China Design Center will open in October. It will adopt a Chinese-style design, and its goal is to apply a "progressive sense of energy" design to mass-produced models. Ford used the Beijing Auto Show to highlight its Sync? infotainment software, which is specifically targeted at the Chinese market. It supports vehicle OTA updates and has a series of vehicle-machine interconnection functions.
