CB system (IEC system for electrical product qualification testing and certification) is an international system operated by IECEE. The certification agencies of IECEE member countries test the safety performance of electrical products based on IEC standards. The result is a system in which CB test reports and CB test certificates are mutually recognized by IECEE member countries. The purpose is to reduce international trade barriers that arise from having to meet different national certification or approval guidelines. IECEE is the abbreviation of the International Electrotechnical Commission Organization for Qualification Testing and Certification of Electrical Products.
The CB (certification body) process is based on the international agreement of IECEE "World System for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrical Products". It is an agreement between national certification bodies within the system and is dedicated to the mutual recognition of electrical product audit results. Countries participating in the CB system come from designated agencies in 53 countries, including major industrialized countries, and are all affiliated with the CB certification process - it is considered the domestic certification of many countries within the EU (including those that have not yet become full members) the basis of. CB certification is for sample testing only. If a foreign certification mark is converted, a factory inspection is required.

CB certification development
Initially, the CB system was initiated by CEE (former European "National Committee for Conformity Testing of Electrical Equipment") and Incorporated into IEC in 1985. The IECEE CB system is the first truly international system for mutual recognition of electrical product safety test reports. A multilateral agreement is formed between the National Certification Bodies (NCB) of each country, and manufacturers can obtain national certification from other member countries of the CB system with a CB test certificate issued by the NCB.
The CB system is based on international IEC standards. If the national standards of some member states are not completely consistent with IEC standards, national differences are allowed, but they should be announced to other members. The CB system uses CB test certificates to confirm that product samples have successfully passed appropriate tests and comply with relevant IEC requirements and the requirements of the relevant member states. The main goal of the CB system is to promote international trade by promoting the harmonization of national standards and international standards and the cooperation of product certification agencies, so that manufacturers can get closer to the ideal goal of "one test, applicable in many places".
