Menghai Tea Factory
It is located in Menghai County (formerly known as Fohai) in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. In 1938, in order to revitalize the Chinese tea industry, it was appointed by the China Tea Corporation at that time. Mr. Fan Hejun, who studied at the University of Paris in France, and Mr. Zhang Shicheng, who graduated from Tsinghua University, led more than 90 tea technical workers from all over the country to Menghai County, deep in the tropical rain forest, to prepare for the establishment of a tea factory. On the basis of summarizing the traditional Pu'er tea production technology, mechanical tea-making technology and equipment were introduced. In 1940, the Menghai Tea Factory (formerly known as Fohai Tea Factory) was officially completed and put into operation, thus opening a new chapter in the history of Chinese Pu'er tea. , also played a big role in the development of Pu'er tea in Menghai, Yunnan.
With decades of unremitting efforts, Menghai Tea Factory has become the leading Pu'er tea production enterprise today, and Dayi Pu'er Tea has therefore become a famous brand in the tea industry. The great success of Yunnan Qizi Cake Tea and modern Pu'er tea artificial post-fermentation and aging processes all reflect the Menghai Tea Factory's outstanding contribution to the development of the Pu'er tea industry.

November 2005 - The large-scale cultural event of Yunnan Tea Dayi Tianxia·Caravan Tibet Tour initiated by Menghai Tea Factory was officially launched. The large caravan consisting of 99 horses set off from Menghai and traveled along the Yunnan The Tibetan Tea Horse Ancient Road reached Lhasa and Shigatse, Tibet in July 2006.
