Dinghushan spring, represented by Longtan Waterfall, has been known as "the first spring in Lingnan" because of its rare purity since Gao Tuzhi, the sixth ancestor of the Tang Dynasty, often came here to build a temple in 678 AD.
As the first national nature reserve, Dinghushan has a forest coverage rate of 95%, and there are more than 800 kinds of higher wild rare plants, such as Gumei with a tree age of more than 400 years, Bedolo with a diameter of1500m, and the "living fossils" of the dinosaur era, cycads, holly and globes. It is the monks of Qingyun Temple, the first temple in Lingnan on Dinghu Mountain, who closely guard the water and soil of this mountain.
