The trademark pattern does not meet the requirements for applying for a color combination trademark?

(1) Colored drawings should be submitted, no black and white drafts are required

Submission of black and white drafts is required, mainly because black and white drafts are needed in subsequent work (such as publishing trademark announcements). Last year, the trademark electronic announcement system was launched, which no longer required the use of black and white drafts, so there was no need to submit them again.

(2) Pay attention to distinguish between color combination trademarks and colored patterns

Colored patterns are colored words, graphics, or a combination of text and graphics. A color combination trademark refers to a trademark composed of two or more colors. If you apply for trademark registration with a color combination, you should check the corresponding column in the trademark application declaration column; if you apply for trademark registration with a colored pattern, you do not need to check it.

There are two ways to apply for trademark patterns of color combination trademarks: one is a color block indicating the color combination; the other is a graphic outline indicating the location of color use. This graphic outline is not a constituent element of the trademark and must be represented by a dotted line. Indicated, shall not be expressed as a solid line.

When applying for trademark registration with a color combination, the color name and color number should also be listed in the trademark description, and the specific use of the color combination trademark in commercial activities should be described.
