In the mid-18th century, "OPEL" was translated as Obel, which was taken from the surname of the founder Adem Obel. A trademark consists of two parts: pattern and text. In 1862, Adan Opel founded the Opel company in Rüsselheim. The company initially produced sewing machines and bicycles. In 1899, Opel's two sons, Fritz and William, started manufacturing cars and motorcycles, and named the factory after their father "Adam Opel", so that the name Opel has been used to this day.
