CRH (China Railway High-speed), Chinese "China Railway High-speed", is used to refer to high-speed trains with speeds above 200km/h .

High-speed trains

As of September 2006, there are four high-speed trains numbered CRH, namely:

CRH1, Bombardier-Sifang-Bow Produced by BSP, the prototype is Regina provided by Bombardier for Swedish AB. The grouping form is, 2(2M 1T) (1M 1T), 2M1T is a unit, one unit reduces the number of trains by one, Mc Tp M M T M Tp Mc. CRH1 has a total power of 5300kW, a shaft power of 265kW, a maximum of 20 axles, and each train has 4 moving axles.

CRH2, produced by CSR Sifang (United Japan Consortium), prototype Japanese Shinkansen E2-1000. The formation form is 4M 4T, 8-section formation, basically Mc T Mc Tp M Tp M Tc.

CRH3, produced by CNR Tangshan Locomotive Factory (in conjunction with Siemens), prototype ICE3. The grouping form is 8M0T. The shaft power is 550kW, and there are a total of 16 moving axles in the whole vehicle, evenly distributed on 8 vehicles. Each vehicle has two bogies, and each bogie has a moving axle.

CRH5 is produced by CNR Changchun Bus Factory (in conjunction with Alstom). The prototype is the SM3 type provided by Alstom for the Finnish National Railways. The grouping form is (3M 1T) (2M 2T), 8-section grouping, which can basically be divided into two units, Mc M Tp M T Tp M Mc.

Operation

CRH1 and CRH2 were put into operation on April 18, 2007, during the sixth major railway speed increase.
