KOKUYO Co., Ltd., also known as KOKUYO (Japanese: コクヨ), formerly known as Kuroda Watch Paper Shop, is a furniture and stationery manufacturer founded in 1905 and the largest office supplies manufacturer in Japan. In 1905, Kuroda Zentaro established Kuroda Haruhiko Hyoshi and began to contract to manufacture "Kuroda Cover Covers" for Japanese-style book covers.

In 1908, Japanese-style account books began to be produced.

The production of Western-style account books began in 1913.

In 1914, the company was renamed Kuroda Haruhiko Kokkodo, which was translated into Chinese as "Kuroda Guokutang". Started producing writing paper, invoices and carbon duplication.

The "Kokuyo" trademark was established in 1917.
