Geographical indications can be registered as certification marks or collective marks in accordance with the provisions of the Trademark Law and the Implementation Regulations of the Trademark Law.

(1) Application documents required to certify trademarks

2. 6. If the collective trademark applied for registration is a portrait of a person, an explanation should be given and a letter of authorization from the portrait owner should be attached. The authorization letter should include the portrait of the person applying as the trademark image.

(3) Specific requirements for relevant documents

1. When filling in the trademark registration application, the applicant's name and seal should be completely consistent with the name approved for registration or registration. Goods or services should be filled with standardized names in accordance with the "Classification Table of Similar Goods and Services". If the name of the goods or services is not included in the "Classification Table of Similar Goods and Services", corresponding explanations should be attached.

6. The management rules for the use of collective trademarks should include the following: the purpose of using the collective trademark; the name, address, legal representative, etc. of the collective members using the collective trademark; the quality of the goods designated for use by the collective trademark; Procedures for using collective trademarks; rights, obligations and responsibilities of collective members for violating the rules; registrant's inspection and supervision system for goods using the collective trademark.

7. All application documents should be in Chinese. When applying for a certification mark or collective mark for territorial extension in China, the Chinese text should be submitted; if the application document is in a language other than Chinese, a Chinese translation should be attached, and the Chinese translation shall prevail.
