Is the time-honored snack in Beijing’s Qianmen still there? Everything

There are also some state-owned non-halal snack bars:

Tianxingju: Located in Xianyukou opposite Dashilar, the fried liver is the most authentic. There are also some other snacks, but the steamed buns are very average. .

Duyiji: Located at Xianyu Koubakou on Qianmen Street, it sells Shaomai and has stir-fries on the second floor. Its traditional famous fried triangle has not yet been restored. There is a branch on Fangzhuang Restaurant Street, opposite Fangzhuang Guiyou.

Ruibin Building: Dashilar Menzhang Hutong, characterized by the burning of draped garments.

Qingfeng Steamed Bun Shop: Next door to the Xi'anmen Muslim Restaurant, it sells steamed buns and fried liver. It used to be next to Chang'an Theater in Xidan, and it was very popular in the early 1980s. Beijing’s steamed buns are actually Tianjin steamed buns. There is a newly opened branch opposite the Daguanlou Cinema on Dashilan Street. Another branch is on the east side of Xinjiekou T-shaped intersection, next to Xinchuan Noodle House.

Xisi Baozi Shop: Southwest corner of Xisi intersection, selling fried liver with steamed buns. Now we have the Eryouju sign.

Wonton Hou: Wonton Hou on Wangfujing Street. The branches are: 1. East side of Drum Tower; 2. North side of Hepingli intersection on the east side; 3. Next to Dongsi Longfu Temple snack bar.

Fengnian Enema Restaurant: East exit of Longfusi Street, Dongsi, specializes in fried enema.

Minghua Shaomai Restaurant: northwest corner of Dongsi intersection.

Meiyuan Dairy Store: east of Taijichang intersection and north of the road. In addition, the two Meiyuan Dairy stores on the west side of Xisi T-shaped intersection and next to the watch store on Qianmen Street West have a longer history. Mainly include almond tofu, cheese (not cheese), milk rolls, dried cheese, milk pastry, etc. There is also a branch at the northwest corner of Xibianmen Overpass.

Other famous snacks:

Maji Yueshengzhai on Hubu Street: on the west side of Ruibin Building in Dashilan Menzhang Alley, the offal soup there is large and the ingredients are fresh, loose meat. Not bad, freshly fried. However, the dining environment is very simple.

Baodu Feng: Menzhang Hutong Langfang No. 2, east side of Ruibin Building. (Note: We also sell Beijing’s traditional mutton-shabu-shabu). The original old Beijing Back Gate Bridge Baodu Feng. There is a branch on the ground floor of Xibei Noodle Village in Liuliqiao.

Full belly: West of the road south of the east gate of Taoranting Park (near the overpass). Baoduman was first located at the southwest corner of Dongsi Archway and closed before the Cultural Revolution.

Jinshenglong Paodu Store: To the north of the west side of Jiandemen Bridge, it was demolished from Dongzhimen. The original Baodu Feng in Dong'an Market, Beijing, failed to compete with Baodu Feng in Menzhang Hutong for the trademark rights a few years ago.

Dongxingshun Baodu Zhang: East edge of Qianhai, east side of barbecue season. The front door is very inconspicuous. The "sheep frost sausage" was recently restored.

Chatangli: East of the road south of the east gate of Taoranting, not far from Baoduman.

Li Ji Baishui Yangtou: on the west side of Zhushikou, on the north side of the road, under the overpass. In addition to Baishui Sheep Head, there are also many snacks.

Yangtouma: On the northwest side of Liuliqiao Overpass, on the basement floor of Xibei Youmian Village. When Xibei Noodle Village opened, there were 8 famous snack restaurants, but now only Sheep Head Horse and Paodu Feng remain.

The King of Padu: On the south side of Di’anmen Bridge, on the west side of the road, this restaurant sells Padu and Mendeng Meat Pie. It is said that it was the one on Beixiao Street in the past, but for some reason the signboard "Big Belly King" is only hung inside the store, and there are only three words "Big Belly Shop" outside the store.

Door Nail Li: To the west of Chegongzhuang and to the north of Santa Temple Road. Operating door-nail meatloaf and fried belly.

About Niujie Snacks:

After Niujie was demolished, several restaurants moved to Nanheng West Street (Nanheng West Street will be demolished again recently). There are three comparable restaurants on the west side of Beijing Health School. famous. They are:

Hongji Snack Shop: It is famous for its beef cubes, and it also sells various sticky goods, fried cakes, loose meat, etc. (Note: I once bought 1 kilogram of beef cubes here, and ate it with 1 kilogram of pancakes)

Lao Baoduman: (not from the same family as Tao Ranting’s Baoduman, it is said that they are relatives) Now They no longer sell fried tripe, but only sell five-spice roast beef and mutton with sesame seed cakes, 2 yuan a piece, high quality and low price. However, Nanheng West Street is about to be demolished recently, and "Laobaoduman" has moved to the Qingfangzhai Restaurant 50 meters east and north, but it is only a stopgap measure.

(Note: The five-spice roasted beef and mutton stuffed with sesame cakes is delicious. It costs 2 yuan each. It is only available after 4 p.m., and there is a queue every day.)

New Year's cake plum: various rice cakes and sticky goods.

Niujie Halal Snack City: East of the Health School, but there are no authentic snacks there (according to netizens’ recommendations, the Nianji Sauce Pork, No. 9 Meat Pie, and No. 14 Sheep Jiezi are good).

The snack bar of Zhibinlou Restaurant: at the south entrance of Jiaozi Hutong, there are many kinds of snacks and the environment is good. The breakfast soy milk is very delicious, it has the so-called "brine taste". A bowl of soy milk and two sugar pancakes, a standard Beijing-style breakfast.

There are also some small shops, although they are not well-known, but each has its own unique specialty. For example, there is a small shop at the east entrance of Nanheng West Street that is very delicious. There is always a queue for selling steamed buns opposite Nian Gao Li.

In addition, the newly opened Niujie Halal Supermarket has snacks on the first floor, and only a "rice cake shop" has been moved back.

About braised cooking:

The full name of braised braised pork is braised braised small intestine. Derived from Su Zaorou and formed later. The most famous one now is Xiaochang Chen. The old store of Xiaochang Chen is at the east entrance of Nanheng East Street on Hufang Road. It has been demolished. Each store is opened by his or her family after the company split, and it is not a chain. Most of them are small shops. Several small intestine rice restaurants opened by his daughter are relatively large in scale. They also offer braised casseroles, braised hot pots and various stir-fried dishes (mainly with water). The dining environment is also good. But it lacks the fun of having a meal around the fire.

Small intestine Chen 1: Menzhang Hutong Langfang Ertiao, next door to Ma Ji Yueshengzhai. (Note: Yes, you can smell the aroma from a long way away. The main ingredients are pig waste. Next to it is the halal restaurant. It’s a peaceful place. Everything is safe and sound.)

2: Nanheng East Street, The original site of the old store is not far to the west.

3: Opposite Hufangqiao Workers’ Club, in Lazhu Hutong.

4: Yongwai Majiapu, north of West Gexinli Road.

5: District 3 of Fangqun Park (Fangqun Road), next to Fangzhuang Police Station.

6: Outside Andingmen, south of Waiguan Xiejie Road.

In addition, there is Chenji Braised Restaurant on the north side of the T-shaped intersection of Taiping Street in Taoranting. It tastes good and is said to be related to Xiaochang Chenye.

Yizhong Restaurant: Go to the east of Bei Road from the Dongsi intersection, the four intersections. There is a signboard in the store called "Braised Sauce Zhang". Zhang Ji Braised Sauce in the old Beijing Meat Market Guanghelou Theater is very famous, but I don't know if this one is the other one.

There are a few braised braised restaurants that are also famous, but they are not time-honored: Tian Dachang: South of the road on the south side of the Andingmen overpass; Kailin Braised Restaurant: South of the road on the west side of the Hufangqiao intersection , has been operating braised pork for more than ten years; Fried Liver: at the Zhao Dengyu intersection of Xinei Street, facing demolition; there is also a small shop on the east side of the Drum Tower, selling braised pork and fried liver, which is somewhat famous on the Internet.

I feel that Xiaochang Chen has the best taste and is not expensive (usually 5 yuan for the bottom of the bowl), but unfortunately, Xiaochang Chen lacks white meat in the bottom of the pot, while other restaurants have it.

To the southwest (north-south direction) of Hufangqiao intersection, there is a fried cake selling, and many people line up to buy it. There is a braised duck restaurant in the southwest of the intersection (running east-west) which I heard is also very good

There is a "Liqun Roast Duck Restaurant" at the front door which is good, but hard to find. It is a roast duck restaurant opened by a master chef from Quanjude

Some notes:

The above does not include all snack bars in Beijing, but the more famous ones.

Although Beijing's state-owned and time-honored snack bars still need improvement in terms of operation and service, and the taste is mixed, at least the cooking methods are still very authentic, and the prices are very cheap.
