Harbin beer is no longer Chinese. American brewer Anheuser-Busch (AB) acquired 99.66 shares of Harbin Brewery and privatized Harbin Brewery.

Harbin Beer Group Co., Ltd. was founded in 1900 and is the earliest beer manufacturer in China. Its Harbin beer is the earliest beer brand in China and is still popular throughout China.

Harbin Beer Group Co., Ltd. is located at No. 20 Youfang Street, Xiangfang District, Harbin. It is the fifth largest beer brewing enterprise in mainland China, with 13 beer brewing plants nationwide. Harbin Brewery Group's market share is about 66% in Harbin and about 5% nationwide.

Development history

After the merger of "Harbin Brewery" formed in different eras in 1956, the factory name "Harbin Brewery" was still used.

In 1959, the factory used corn instead of rice for the first time to produce 250 tons of beer, which was the first of its kind in China.

In 1973, the first spray sterilizer in Heilongjiang Province, designed and manufactured in cooperation with the Provincial Science and Technology Museum, was installed and put into use.

In 1998, Harbin Beer (Songjiang) Co., Ltd. was established. The group's annual production and sales reach 312,000 tons, ranking seventh in the national beer industry.

In 1999, Harbin (Hegang) Co., Ltd. was established. The group's annual production and sales exceed 400,000 tons, ranking sixth in the national beer industry.

In 2000, Jilin Harbin Beer Co., Ltd. was established, with annual production and sales exceeding 500,000 tons.
