Precautions for the use of UL logo
1. UL company regulations
1. According to UL regulations: UL inspectors, before going to the factory for the first inspection, print PCB boards with UL logo cannot be shipped
2. According to UL regulations: boards and inks that have not been applied to UL cannot be used to produce PCB boards with UL logo
3, according to UL regulations: for any step of the process to be outsourced, an application must be submitted to UL. (However, if processes above 100 degrees are outsourced and electroplating is outsourced, the subsequent costs will double). If there is a process that is outsourced for processing, it will be found to be unqualified if it is inspected. Pay special attention to drilling, lamination and surface treatment such as spray tin, OSP, electro-metal, etc.)
4. According to UL regulations: All unqualified PCB boards detected during the inspection (printed with the UL logo, but Do not meet UL requirements), corrective measures (scrap or remove UL logo) must be verified by UL inspectors, and can only be shipped after obtaining permission.
If the corrective measures are not verified by the inspector (that is, the goods are shipped without the inspector's permission), it is considered non-compliance.
5. According to UL regulations: PCB boards with the UL logo of other companies cannot be produced in our factory. If you want to produce, you must first apply to UL and obtain UL authorization before production
6. You cannot only print 94V-0 or 94V0 or 94-V0 on the PCB board in the factory
7. The UL certification number of the copper plate or/and the model number of the plate cannot be printed on the PCB board in the factory.
8. For PCBs with the UL logo, the plate material and the plate type must be indicated on the process sheet. The manufacturer and model of the welding ink (must be within the application scope)
9. According to UL regulations: test/measuring instruments need to be within the calibration period, that is, they must be calibrated regularly
Note Note:
1. There are no restrictions on the manufacturers of text ink and line ink.
2. Pay attention to the production process. There is no carbon oil, no silver oil, and others.
2. Inspection content and location
1. The inspection locations are: production line, material warehouse (check whether the raw material labels are clear), FQC, finished product warehouse, and ink curing room (check the curing conditions ), tin spray workshop,.
2. Mainly check the production line, followed by the finished product warehouse. If there are no UL-marked circuit boards in the production line or warehouse, it has nothing to do with UL and there will be no failure.
3. UL logo
1. If you want to print the UL logo on the board, the correct combinations include the following 4 types (there is no requirement for their ordering up, down, left, and right on the board). The UL certification mark requires traceability, that is, after the PCB board leaves the factory, according to UL The content of the logo can be found out which company produced the PCB (so the UL number needs to be printed), which company produced what kind of board (so the model number needs to be printed)
The basic combination of the UL logo: model E331410/or company LOGO, Both are indispensable.
2. The following is the correct usage of the UL logo (each has 8 correct representations, and there is no requirement for the top, bottom, left, and right arrangements),
4. Possible violations:
The UL logo is used incorrectly. Or incomplete (please correct if yes)
Processing of other manufacturers’ UL boards in the factory (please correct if yes)
Continuous copper on multi-layer and double-sided panels The maximum diameter of the mooring cannot exceed 50.8mm. If it exceeds, a grid or mesh must be added (a few small meshes should be added in the middle of the continuous copper mooring to allow corrosion to pass through the copper mooring).
The UL logo is printed on the carton,
There is no logo on the outer packaging of the warehouse materials
The UL logo is printed on the PCB board made of carbon ink and silver oil.
Drilling, lamination, tin spraying and other surface treatment processes are all unqualified. Pay special attention
5. Penalties for violations
Single Violations during the inspection (i.e. if there are non-conformities, the correction fee is: USD540 will be charged on top of the normal charges)
