China's "Regulations on the Implementation of Trademark Law" points out that geographical indications stipulated in the Trademark Law can apply for registration as collective trademarks according to law. The Measures for the Administration of the Registration of Collective Trademarks and Certification Trademarks clearly stipulates that a geographical indication applying for registration as a collective trademark may be the name of the area marked by the geographical indication, or other visible signs that can show that a commodity originated in the area. The above-mentioned areas do not need to be completely consistent with the name and scope of the current administrative divisions in this area. If multiple wine geographical indications constitute homonyms or homographs, each geographical indication can apply for registration as a collective trademark on the premise that these geographical indications can be distinguished from each other and do not mislead the public. A group, association or other organization that applies for the registration of a geographical indication as a collective trademark shall be composed of members of the area marked by the geographical indication. Where a geographical indication is registered as a collective trademark, the following contents shall be stated in the application: (1) the specific quality, reputation or other characteristics of the goods marked by the geographical indication; (two) the relationship between the specific quality, reputation or other characteristics of the commodity and the natural and human factors in the area marked by the geographical indication; (3) the area marked by geographical indications. In addition, it should be accompanied by the qualification certificate of the subject, detailing the professional technicians and professional testing equipment of the institutions it owns or entrusts, so as to show that it has the ability to supervise the specific quality of goods using geographical indications; The approval document of the people's government or the competent department of industry in the area marked by geographical indications is attached. If a foreigner or foreign enterprise applies to register a geographical indication as a collective trademark or a certification trademark, the applicant shall provide proof that the geographical indication is protected by law in its country of origin.
