Its brand predecessor was a famous Japanese men's clothing retail store, which was founded in Osaka by the well-known Japanese entrepreneur Mr. Ishimoto Taikao. In order to promote the brand spirit of Descente, Mr. Ishimoto invited Japanese skier Kazuyoshi Nishimura to serve as a brand consultant and launched a ski clothing series. The Descente trademark was successfully registered in 1961 and was officially launched during this period.
