Haagen-Dazs is an American ice cream brand. It was successfully developed by Ruben Mattes in 1921 and listed in New York in 1962. In 1983, after Haagen-Dazs was sold to Pinsela, Pinsela became a subsidiary of General Mills. In 2002, Nestlé acquired Haagen. Das Ice Cream is a fully registered trademark in the United States.
