Not bamboo leaves. It's just that the tea looks like bamboo leaves after brewing.
Many people know that there is bamboo leaf green wine, but not many people know about "bamboo leaf green" tea.
Zhuyeqing is Mingqian tea collected from Mount Emei. Its appearance is moist, tight and even, flat and smooth, in the shape of a bamboo leaf, with one flag and one shot. It is really exquisite. The tea soup is yellow-green and bright, with chestnut aroma. , the taste is fresh and mellow, and it is durable for soaking for a long time.
How did the tea get its name? There is also a little-known story here.
It is reported that after Chen Yi accompanied Premier Zhou on his trip to Asia and Africa in 1964, he took some time off from his busy schedule to vacation in Mount Emei with comrades such as Qiao Guanhua and Huang Zhen. At Wannian Temple, the head monk entertained Chen Yi and his party with fragrant tea. After tasting it, Mr. Chen asked: "What kind of tea is this? It's very good!" He was told that it was an unnamed tea produced in the temple. Someone took advantage of the situation and suggested that Mr. Chen give it a name. Mr. Chen pondered for a moment and said: "This tea looks like bamboo leaves after brewing, the color of the soup is as green as bamboo, and the taste is like bitter bamboo leaves with a fragrance and sweetness. I think it will be called 'Bamboo Leaf Green'!" From then on, the name "Bamboo Leaf Green" became famous. It spread like wildfire.
Trimeresurus stejnegeri; bamboo snake
A species of the Viperidae family. Also known as green bamboo snake and burnt tail.
Mainly distributed in the provinces and regions south of the Yangtze River in China. In the west, it can reach 33° north latitude (Wenxian County, Gansu Province), and traces of it have also been found in Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province.
In mainland China, the bamboo leaves are green or green all over, the belly is slightly lighter or grass yellow, the eyes, the back of the tail and the tip of the tail are burnt red; there is often a strip of half red and white or white on the side of the body. The dorsal scales are made of vertical lines; the head is larger and triangular in shape, with a cheek pit (heat detector) between the eyes and nostrils; the tail is short and winding, and the back of the head and back are covered with small scales.
Bamboo-leaf green is generally found in mountainous areas with an altitude of 150 to 2,000 meters in the grass beside streams, on shrubs, on rock walls or stones, in bamboo forests, on dead branches on the roadside or in grass on field ridges. It is more active on rainy days and is most active in the evening and night.
Feeds frogs, tadpoles, lizards, birds and small mammals. .
In Fujian, Taiwan, Guangdong and other provinces, it is the main snake species causing venomous snake bites. The average amount of venom excreted each time is about 30 mg. After a person is bitten, there will be severe local burning pain in the wound and rapid swelling. The typical feature is that bloody blisters are more common and appear earlier; systemic symptoms are generally less common. Although the bite of the green bamboo leaf snake is not life-threatening, there are many cases of bites, so it is very harmful.
The Fujian Bamboo Leaf Green mainly bites people on the head and neck. If it is a vital part, the injury cannot be ignored. Most of the snakebites caused in the coastal areas of Guangdong, Guangxi, and Yunnan are caused by the white-lipped bamboo leaf green. If you bite the face, the venom will flow to the brain with the blood and it will be extremely dangerous! If it bites the neck, it may cause swelling and may compress the throat, block the respiratory tract, and cause death by suffocation.
There are reports of Bamboo Leaf Green biting people to death in Yunnan. The doses of venom excreted by Bamboo Leaf Green in different areas are different, and the water content and dry poison composition are also different; it is very likely that some areas are very dangerous. A safe species can become very dangerous in another area, so the bite of Bamboo Leaf Green should not be underestimated.
Bamboo-leaf green is also a relatively common venomous snake in Wuyi Mountain. Its body is green, and if you don't identify it carefully, it will be confused with the non-venomous green snake, but its tail is burnt yellow, which is what distinguishes it from the green snake. Because its tail looks like scorched by fire, the locals call it "burnt tail" or "fire-burnt tail" green bamboo snake.
Bamboo-leaf green has the habit of putting out fires and living in groups. It is active day and night and mostly forages for food at night. Bamboo Shiqing likes to climb trees, often entangled in bushes or small trees by streams, and will actively attack people.
Zhuyeqing belongs to ovoviviparous snakes and will give birth to baby snakes from its cloaca.
