According to the regulations of the national textile industry, all sweaters with wool fiber content of 100%, whether worsted or woolen, are called "pure sweaters". But in fact, in order to improve the spinning performance and durability, worsted products are allowed to contain no more than 5% non-wool fibers (such as nylon and polyester). Wool products are allowed to contain no more than 7% non-wool fibers.

If it is used for decoration, and the decorative fibers must be visible, the content of non-wool fibers in worsted products can be relaxed to 7%. It is allowed to contain no more than 7% non-wool fibers in the finished products of coarse spinning, but its total amount (for decoration and improvement of spinning performance) shall not exceed 7%.

Pure wool sweater can only be marked with "pure wool" if it is added with non-wool fibers allowed in the standard, but not "100% wool". Only the finished products with wool content of 100% can be marked with "100% wool" on the sewn trademark or tag.
