If the submitted application does not meet the following conditions, the Korean Intellectual Property Office will not assign the application number, and the application will be rejected as never applied:

(1) The application type is not clear;

(2) There is no name and address of the applicant;

(3) The application content is not written in Korean;

(5) The applicant has no domicile in Korea and has not entrusted a Korean agent.

If the application meets the above conditions, the Korean Intellectual Property Office will assign the application number according to the Trademark Law and conduct formal examination. If there are any errors or omissions, the examiner will issue a notice of amendment, requiring the applicant to correct them within a certain period of time. (1) Audit Initiation

Unlike patent and utility model applications, trademark applications are automatically reviewed according to the filing date. However, according to the provisions of the Trademark Law, the director of the Korean Intellectual Property Office can let examiners give priority to qualified patent applications.

(2) Conditions for trademark registration

According to the Trademark Law, a registered trademark needs to meet the following requirements:

1. Conforming to the definition of trademark in the Trademark Law;
