How to verify the authenticity of skin care products

First, look at the trademark.

There are TM and R trademarks. TM's trademark application has been accepted, but the product has already been produced and sold before the official trademark certificate has been received by the brand company. Generally speaking, no businessman is willing to counterfeit a product with a TM trademark. Unless that product is really popular. Because, the time for TM to R transfer is generally within two years. If the counterfeit goods are not sold and the genuine ones are packaged with the R trademark, then you will lose money. Of course, there are also many brands that have their own R trademarks. When I develop my own products, I use the R trademark directly.

Secondly, check whether the product has been registered or check the barcode.

Under normal circumstances, skin care products must be registered before production. Barcodes are also one barcode for each product. You can directly check the filing status on the Food and Drug Administration’s filing website, or scan the barcode to view product information.

Again, look at the packaging of the product.

Brands that want to be in business for a long time have strict requirements on packaging. The material and craftsmanship of the color box and the material and craftsmanship of the bottle are relatively exquisite. If the packaging material is not good, the factory will not let it be made into finished products. The brand will not allow defective products to appear in the market. If the brand has many sales channels, the brand will put an anti-counterfeiting label on the color box for customers to check the authenticity. This anti-counterfeiting label is unique to each item. It also facilitates the brand company to trace the circulation of the product.
