How does UG write on a surface?
First: Draw a curve on the surface.

Second: Click a command, select "On Surface" in the type, and then you will be prompted to select the curve on the surface and the curve made in the first part.

Third: enter the text you want to carve, and the text you enter will appear on the curve.

Fourth: (1) There is a small square and an upward arrow at both ends of the font. Press the small square, and then drag to lengthen and shorten the entire length of the font. Click the arrow and an input box will appear, in which you can enter the height and total length of the font. Double-click this arrow and the font will be displayed upside down. Can be determined as needed. (2) There is a small square and arrow in the middle of the font. By default, this small square is usually located at the midpoint of the curve. You can drag it to select the curve position of the font. Click it, and an input box will appear. Enter a numerical value to determine the position of the font. Click the arrow to enter the up-and-down offset value (for example, if the word height is 2, if you enter-1, the whole font will move down 1, so that there will be half font above the curve and half font below the curve, as required).

Fifth: There is also an arrow at one end of the whole curve. Double-click this arrow and the font will be rotated by 180 degrees.

6. After the font size, position and font style (there are various font choices in the text attribute) are all selected, click OK to exit the text command, click Stretch command, select the previously determined font, enter the height, set the draft angle according to the draft direction, and make the entity character;

Seventh: when carving on a surface, you usually need to "replace" the face command, and then use the "offset face" command to determine the carving depth (for example, if you need to carve 20 threads deep, then thicken the font face by 20 threads after replacing the face).

Eighth: Subtract the font from the surface with the "Subtract" command.
