My trademark has been used at an exhibition, can I still claim priority?

Article 26 of the "Trademark Law" stipulates that if a trademark is used for the first time on goods exhibited at an international exhibition sponsored or recognized by the Chinese government, six months from the date of exhibition of the goods Within the period, the applicant for registration of the trademark can enjoy priority.

If the applicant claims priority in accordance with Article 26 of the Trademark Law, select "Priority based on exhibitions" and fill in the "Application/Exhibition Country/Region", "Application/Exhibition" Date" column. The applicant should submit priority certification documents (including originals and Chinese translations) at the same time; if the priority certification documents cannot be submitted at the same time, the applicant should choose "priority certification documents later" and submit them within three months from the filing date. If a written statement is not made or priority certification documents are not submitted within the time limit, priority will be deemed not to have been claimed.

The priority certification document should contain the name of the exhibition where the goods are exhibited, evidence of the use of the trademark on the exhibited goods, the date of exhibition, etc. Priority certification documents are generally issued or certified by the exhibition organizer.
