What is the trademark registration process in Honduras?
1. Investigation before application

Before applying, the trademark you want to register may have been registered by others, so you can't pass the examination if you apply for registration again. Preliminary inquiry can avoid this situation to some extent, but it cannot be completely avoided because of the blind search period (that is, the period when the trademark has been applied for but not yet made public).

Step 2 submit an application

If the content and format of the materials submitted when applying for a trademark comply with the law, there will be no correction procedure, but if there is any problem with any of them, there will be correction procedures, which need to be revised and submitted by the applicant. The time limit for correction is within 30 days from the date of receipt of the notice, and the correction shall be made according to the specified contents and returned to the Trademark Office. If it is not corrected within the time limit, the Trademark Office will not accept the application for trademark registration and notify the applicant.

3. Substantive review procedure

After successfully passing the preliminary formal examination procedure, the trademark application enters the substantive examination procedure, which is examined by the Trademark Office examiner in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Trademark Law. If the registration application for using the trademark on some designated commodities meets the requirements, it shall be preliminarily examined and announced; If some applications for trademark registration of designated commodities do not meet the requirements or some applications for trademark registration of designated commodities do not meet the requirements, the application for trademark registration of designated commodities shall be rejected or rejected, and the applicant shall be notified in writing and the reasons shall be explained.

4. Obtain a trademark registration certificate

If no objection is raised during the preliminary examination announcement, the Trademark Office shall make a registration certificate and issue it to the applicant. Detailed description of product trademark registration process
