Fishing rod selection skills
1, appearance:
First look at whether the words and trademarks printed on the rod body are clear and the patterns are exquisite. If the handwriting is rough, the pattern is fuzzy and the boundaries are unclear, most of them are inferior products produced by small factories.
Then open the leaking cover at the end of the fishing rod, and check whether there are gaps caused by bubbles and particles at both ends of each section, whether the fiber stripes are rough, whether the thickness of each section is uniform, whether one end of the joint is hard, whether there are cracks and whether the thickness is uniform.
2. Voice:
Tap the fishing rod gently with something hard. If the sound is clear, it is a high-quality fishing rod. If the sound is dull, it is a poor-quality fishing rod.
Pull out each pole, drop it vertically and gently, and listen to the sound of it knocking on the ground. It should be crispy. Then gently flick the two joints of the pole with your fingers to see if the sound is crisp, crackling or stuffy.
Weight:
The weight of carbon fiber rod is 1/2 or 3/4 of that of glass fiber rod with the same length. No matter what kind of pole you buy, you can compare it with another pole. For example, a 3.6-meter-long high-quality carbon fiber rod weighs only about 200 grams, while a glass fiber rod of the same length weighs about 400 grams.
Precautions for use:
Regular manufacturers or high-grade fishing rods have the description of the largest fishing rod, which is used in strict accordance with the requirements of matching the fishing rod. Even if you catch a big fish or occasionally hang the bottom, cut off the fishing rod to protect it after being stressed. So don't arbitrarily increase the strength of the secondary line.
Don't lift the pole too hard, try to avoid directly lifting the fish ashore, and lift the hooked fish off the water. Should follow the trend, the big fish must slip the fish and use the net after slipping, which can reduce the stress intensity of the fishing rod everywhere.
When fishing, if you need to adjust the position of the float, you must first close the rod, pinch the fishing line on the upper part of the float seat with one hand, and pull the space bean and the float seat with the other hand to avoid stress on the fishing rod. If there are big fish in the fishing waters, the fishing rod should be equipped with missing lines to avoid unnecessary trouble caused by the big fish pulling the fishing rod away.
Whether it is a hand pole or a sea pole, it is best to wipe it with a clean soft cloth while collecting the pole. Prevent sediment and water stains from entering the fishing rod wall, causing the fishing rod to wear and cut the paint surface.
Metal clips on sea poles should be waterproof and rust-proof. It is best to wipe with absorbent cotton after fishing.
When fishing, we should also pay attention to prevent stepping on the fishing rod placed on the ground, prevent the fish from dragging the fishing rod on the ground and rubbing it, and support the fishing rod firmly to prevent it from being dragged into the water by the fish. These are common things and should attract the attention of fishermen.
There are also some anglers who always try to lift or yank the rod after the hook is hooked by underwater debris. This is a very wrong action, which may break the pole or cause the joint to break or loosen. The hook is hung up and can be pulled by hand. If you still can't pull, you can wrap the fishing line around your waist and then retreat. Of course, this is either a hook break or a line loss. This is a helpless move.
Don't squat down in the ground when the fishing rod is stuck.
