Classification of aluminum, Shanghai Futures Exchange aluminum standard product quality regulations and related regulations

1. Classification of aluminum can be divided into three categories according to the main component content of aluminum ingots: high-grade pure aluminum (aluminum content 99.93%-99.999%), industrial high-purity aluminum (aluminum content 99.85%-99.90%), industrial pure aluminum (aluminum content 98.0%-99.7%). According to the market product type of aluminum ingots, it can be divided into three categories: one is processed materials, such as plates, strips, foils, tubes, rods, forgings, powders, etc.; the other is cast aluminum alloys, wire rods, cables, etc.; One category is various aluminum products in daily life.

2. Shanghai Futures Exchange Aluminum Standard Product Quality Regulations

①The aluminum content, impurity content and other regulations of aluminum used for physical delivery of contracts must comply with the national standard GB/ The provisions of AL99.70 in the T1196-2002 standard. Substitute: LME registered aluminum ingot, compliant with P1020A standard.

②Shape and weight. The delivered aluminum should be in ingots. The weight of each ingot of domestic aluminum is 15KG±2KG or 20KG±2KG, and the weight of each ingot of imported aluminum is between 12KG and 26KG.

③The overage and shortfall of each warehouse receipt shall not exceed ±2%, the weight difference of domestic goods shall not exceed ±0.1%, and the weight difference of imported goods shall not exceed ±0.2%.

④The aluminum in each warehouse receipt must be composed of commodities produced by the same manufacturer, the same brand, the same registered trademark, the same quality grade, the same block shape, and the same packaging quantity (similar bundle weight).

⑤The aluminum in each warehouse receipt must be a registered brand approved by the Exchange and must be accompanied by a quality certificate issued by the manufacturer.

⑥ Warehouse receipts must be issued by the delivery warehouse designated by the Shanghai Futures Exchange after passing the inspection and acceptance according to regulations.

3. Manufacturers and registered brands recognized by the exchange

The aluminum used for physical delivery must be a brand registered by the exchange. LME-registered aluminum can also be delivered as a substitute. The specific registered brands and premium and discount standards will be separately stipulated and announced by the exchange.
