Concentrated feed, also known as protein supplementary feed, is a semi-finished compound feed made of protein feed (fish meal, cake meal, etc.), macromineral feed (salt, bone meal, stone meal and shell powder) and additives. Concentrated feed can not be directly used for feeding livestock and poultry, and a certain proportion of energy feed (grains, miscellaneous grains, corn, etc.) must be added to dilute it to form a complete compound feed that meets the nutritional needs of livestock and poultry.

Feeding pigs with concentrated feed has the following advantages:

(1) The protein content of concentrated feed is as high as 3% ~ 45%, and it is rich in trace elements, vitamins, amino acids and other nutrients.

(2) Because the concentrated feed is mixed with a proper amount of energy feed, it is a complete compound feed with good feeding effect, which can not only make full use of the energy feed produced by farmers, such as corn and rice bran, but also greatly reduce the pressure of transportation and reduce the cost of raising pigs.

(3) The dosage is small and the use is convenient. It only needs to add a proper amount of concentrated feed to the conventional energy feed, and it is convenient to use without boiling, which is beneficial to the scattered pig farmers in the vast rural areas of China.
