All the contents of food labels shall not describe or introduce food in a wrong, misleading or deceptive way, nor shall consumers confuse one property of food or food with another product through directly or indirectly implied language, graphics and symbols. In addition, according to the regulations, food labels must not be separated from packaging containers; All the contents of food labels must not become blurred or even fall off during circulation, and all the contents of food labels must be easy to understand, accurate and scientific. Food label is the carrier to convey product information to consumers. Doing a good job in label management in prepackaged foods is not only an effective means to safeguard consumers' rights and interests and ensure the healthy development of the industry, but also the demand to realize scientific management of food safety.
Throughout the world, countries are also highly concerned about food labeling. The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) also lists the harmonization of food labeling standards as one of the four top priorities, and the research project of food labeling laws, regulations and standards as the top priority and the most important A-level project. Germany, the United States, Britain and other countries have promulgated many laws, regulations and rules on food labeling. Strictly regulate the issue of food labeling. China has also promulgated the Product Quality Law, the Food Safety Law, the Regulations on the Administration of Product Labeling and other mandatory national standards, such as GB77 18, General Rules for Labeling in prepackaged foods, GB28050, General Rules for Nutrition Labeling in prepackaged foods and GB2760. Strictly regulate food labeling, ensure food quality and safety, and maintain economic order.
2 food labeling problems and labeling methods
2. 1 product name
In the inspection of food labels, we will find that some food names can't directly reflect the real attributes of food, which makes consumers feel confused and don't know what they are. For example, a company marked American fat beef on their products, but actually it can't touch beef, which belongs to noodle snacks in convenience foods. In addition, when checking the moon cakes, I found that the product name was marked with the words "Fu Gui Reunion". Do you think consumers can understand that this is a moon cake when they see such a name? Do you know what it tastes like? Therefore, when labeling the product name, the professional name reflecting the real attributes of the food should be clearly marked in the conspicuous position of the food label.
2.2 List of ingredients
The product ingredient list is the most concerned issue for consumers, but we have not written the ingredient list clearly for some foods. For example, XXX makes tea, and its ingredient list says fresh leaves, which are big for consumers at first sight. They don't know whether this fresh leaf is fresh from tea or other trees. How dare they drink it? The ingredient list of some products is not marked according to the amount of ingredients, which also makes people wonder what the raw material and auxiliary materials are. In fact, when labeling the ingredient list, when making or processing food, the ingredients should be arranged in descending order: ingredients within 2% can be arranged in no descending order. Where food additives are added, the generic names of food additives in GB2760 shall be marked.
2.3 net content
The main error in the net content of food labels is the unit problem. Many enterprises are not familiar with the unit of mass and volume, so they often label liquid food indiscriminately, such as how much Kg or g, and some even confuse the case of kg and label it as kg or Ml. Our indication of net content should include net content, figures and legal units of measurement. The character height should also comply with the provisions of GB77 18.
2.4 factory name, address and contact information
The most prominent problem is that some products are marked with the names, addresses and contact information of many factories or sub-packaging places at the same time, and the origin of this product is not clearly marked at all. The correct requirement is that the name, address and contact information of the producer should be clearly marked. The name and address of the producer shall be registered according to law and be able to bear the responsibility for product safety and quality. The contact information of legally liable producers or sellers shall indicate at least one of the following contents: telephone, fax, network contact information, etc.
2.5 Production Date and Shelf Life
The date of production is the focus of consumers' special attention, and tampering with the date of food production is frequently exposed on TV and media. Therefore, the date of production should be clearly marked and clearly marked in an eye-catching position. Do not paste, print or tamper with the date stamp.
2.6 product standards
Because we don't know or are not familiar with the product standards, many of our products are marked with incorrect product standard numbers or inconsistent with our own products, resulting in unqualified product sampling or no standards to judge. Some products have no national standards, local standards or industry standards. Remember not to confuse. You should look for relevant departments to formulate enterprise standards that suit you.
2.7 food production license
In March this year, one of our enterprises was reported by a professional counterfeiter, whose food production license was for producing oil peppers, but this production license was used for packaging fried potato chips, so our relevant departments punished him according to law. This out-of-range or indiscriminate use of production licenses is particularly worthy of attention by enterprises. On the product label, not only the QS certificate number should be correctly marked, but also the QS icon should be clearly marked.
2.8 Nutrition label
According to the requirements of GB28050 "General Rules for Nutrition Labeling in prepackaged foods", the nutritional composition and value of products must be clearly marked in strict accordance with the requirements, and marked according to the format and order of nutrition labels, except for products that are not required by the state, such as drinking water and tea.
2.9 storage conditions
This article is very strict with some special foods, especially those that need to be refrigerated, frozen, sealed and dried. It must be clearly marked. If it is not correct, it will cause food to rot quickly and cause unnecessary losses.

For example, cakes and vegetable oils need to be marked with processing methods, genetically modified foods should be marked with genetically modified products, some products should be marked with product grades, sensitive substances should also be marked with specific names of allergens, and some foods should also be marked with eating methods.
3. Measures and suggestions for standardizing food labeling
In view of the problems existing in the above labeling, in the final analysis, some enterprises do not pay attention to the requirements of food labeling, while some of our regulatory authorities do not fully regulate and supervise food labeling. So we should strengthen from the following aspects:
(1) attaches great importance to raising awareness. All localities should take food labeling management as the focus of work in 20 15 and in the next few years, and focus on food production enterprises to carry out special treatment to ensure that the treatment is in place.
(2) Urge enterprises to conduct self-examination and rectification, and implement the main responsibility. Compile "Guidelines for Supervision and Inspection of Food Labeling" and "Compilation of prepackaged foods Labeling Cases" to guide grass-roots units to carry out supervision and inspection, attach importance to and strengthen the handling of labeling reports and complaints, and use market mechanism to force enterprises to strengthen their labeling awareness and constantly improve food labeling.
(3) Strengthen label training and guidance, and actively promote social governance. By inviting food experts to seriously train the personnel of China's food production enterprises and the supervisors of the regulatory authorities, they will learn the laws, regulations and rules related to food labeling. And through the news media, widely publicize and popularize the knowledge related to food labeling, announce the illegal cases of labeling to the society in time, mobilize the masses to participate, and form social co-governance.
