Brand classification of main board
check the article motherboard brand classification, first-line brand, second-line brand, third-line brand, miscellaneous brand 21-1-4 16:55 motherboard brand classification, first-line brand, second-line brand, miscellaneous brand 28-2-29 8:59 first-line brand: the main features are strong research and development ability, fast launch of new products, complete product line and very high-end products. At present, the following three brands are highly recognized: ASUS: the world's largest motherboard manufacturer, but also recognized as the first brand of motherboards, pursuing flashy workmanship, especially high-end motherboards, with strong overclocking ability; The price is also higher, and some models in the low-end also have relatively poor products. MSI: The top five motherboard manufacturers in the world. The annual campus trip makes MSI popular among college students. Its main features are complete and luxurious accessories and many additional functions, but its overclocking ability is not excellent. Some low-end models of MSI have shrunk, which makes counterfeiters often find opportunities. GIGABYTE: It is also one of the top five motherboard manufacturers. It has always been famous for its gorgeous workmanship. Motherboards are good at stability, but they are also not outstanding in overclocking. The low-end models are shrinking like MSI, so they are often troubled by fakes. Quasi-first-line brands: All three manufacturers have the same "fault", that is, they focus on Intel, but they are somewhat careless about AMD platforms with relatively small sales, so they concentrate on upgrading their skills in DIY market. Although it is not as famous as the Big Three, the quality of the main board is not inferior at all, so it is listed as a quasi-first-line brand for the time being: ABIT: overclocking has always been the top priority, and the materials used for work are not inferior to the first-line brands, so it is favored by many DIYER. In the survey of well-known foreign media, upgrading technology has been widely supported by enthusiasts, ranking second only to ASUS. Second-tier brands: they are slightly inferior to first-tier brands in some aspects, but they all have considerable strength and their own characteristics: DFI: a senior motherboard manufacturer, the LANPARTY series is luxurious and a frequent visitor on the overclocking list, but the channel has not been very good. At present, we see more motherboards made by diamonds, but diamonds will intensify their efforts to expand the mainland market, which is definitely good news for the majority of DIYER. EPOX: Originally named as Panying, it was renamed as Panzheng because it was squatted in China. Similar to the style of upgrading technology, overclocking ability is also well-known and the price is relatively lower, so it also has many supporters. FOXCONN: Hon Hai Group, a subsidiary of Taiwan Province, China, now ranks second in the world in motherboard shipments, catching up with ASUS-of course, most of them are OEM and OEM. A few years ago, it entered the mainland market with the brand of "Fuben", but it failed to open the situation. The real private brand entered the DIY market for a short time, and its acceptance is not high at present, but I believe that it can do better with the strength of Hon Hai. Elite (ECS): Shipments once surpassed Asustek and took the top spot, but in recent years, it was unfortunately overtaken. Different from other big manufacturers, the elite used to take the low-cost route, the motherboard materials were mediocre, the overclocking ability was poor, and the accessories were also the most basic. However, in the past two years, the elite has also tried to change and launched a series of high-end motherboards. We look forward to the better performance of the elite. INTEL (Intel): With this name alone, its influence is definitely higher than that of ASUS, but it is entirely OEM. At present, it is made by Foxconn, and the materials used for work are unknown, but the overclocking ability is zero, and there are few accessories, which is despised by DIYER and is more suitable for families and enterprises. Qingyun (ALBATRON): It was founded by a high-level official in Gigabyte, claiming to be "first-line quality and second-line price", and it has indeed achieved it. It is no less than the first-line manufacturers in all aspects, and its price is lower, and its overclocking ability is outstanding, but its reputation is not too great at present. BIOSTAR: The output of motherboard ranks sixth in the world, and it has only entered the DIY market in recent years. Although it has many characteristic technologies, the materials used for work are ordinary, and the overclocking ability is quite satisfactory, which is also suitable for home and business. AOPEN: It is a very creative manufacturer affiliated to Taiwan Province Acer Group. It used to make vacuum tubes on the main board, with excellent materials and extraordinary overclocking ability. However, its price is on the high side, the channels are not good, and its acceptance in China is not ideal. Hermits of second-tier brands: These brands are listed separately because they are all very strong, but for various reasons, they are not easy to see in the market: Wilson Tsui, a well-known server/workstation motherboard manufacturer, has also launched some DIY motherboards with outstanding quality, but due to lack of experience in the DIY market, its sales volume has been very small. Volkswagen (FIC), an old-fashioned powerhouse in the motherboard industry, was one of the three major motherboard manufacturers in Taiwan Province before 1999, second only to ASUS and Elite, with outstanding quality. However, in recent years, the sales volume has gradually declined. At present, we can only see the OEM products of Volkswagen. LEADTEK: A well-known graphics card manufacturer, it is the top partner of nVidia. In recent years, it has entered the motherboard industry, and its motherboards are mainly based on nForce series chipsets, with luxurious workmanship and no expense, but the market acceptance is not high. In 24, Litai was acquired by Hon Hai, and its development prospect is optimistic. Now its motherboard belongs to Foxconn's "Winfast" series. Mei Jie (SOYO): It is the first motherboard with its own brand in Taiwan Province. In the era of Ben Er, Mei Jie's popularity is no less than that of first-line brands such as ASUS. However, Mei Jie's mainland branch unfortunately suffered losses and had to withdraw from the mainland market at the end of 21. Although it returned to the mainland at the end of 23, the whole market has been carved up, and it is still unknown whether Mei Jie can make a comeback. SYNTAX: A motherboard brand from California, USA, is said to have a high reputation in Europe and the United States. The motherboard workmanship looks OK, but can it fight its way out among the motherboard powers in Taiwan Province? Let's wait and see. VIA: Originally, it was only a chip designer, and the launch of its own brand motherboard was entirely the result of market competition. At first, the P4 chipset designed by VIA was not authorized by INTEL, and all major motherboard manufacturers were afraid to produce P4 motherboards based on VIA chipset because of INTEL's arrogance. In this case, VIA had to launch its own brand, which was actually OEM by other manufacturers, with good materials and favorable prices. Later, with the settlement between VIA and INTEL, this brand faded out of the market. Third-line brand: It has the manufacturing ability and tries to keep the price as low as possible under the premise of ensuring stable operation. This is the main feature of this third-line manufacturer. At present, the market competition is becoming increasingly fierce, and some brands have disappeared, such as Xinming, Huaxin, Kirin, Huangchao, Zeling, Lianxun and so on. Let's just introduce what we can still see here: ASROCK: In order not to affect its high-end image, ASUS launched this new brand, the main purpose of which is to suppress low-priced motherboards including elites, designed by ASUS technicians and produced in Shenzhen. The technology is quite creative, but the quality of the motherboard is average. MBI: MSI couldn't sit still when it saw Huaqing in the low-end market, so it launched this brand in the summer of 24, but the low-end market has been occupied by Huaqing, and Juanxing doesn't know whether it can hold up. AXPER: Gigabyte's low-end brand, with the same purpose as Juanxing, and basically launched at the same time, the three major manufacturers will also launch a firefight in the low-end market. SOLTEK: Originally, it could be listed as a second-line brand, and the motherboard was quite cost-effective, and it used to be OEM for VIA motherboard. However, in recent years, due to the price war, the quality has gone from bad to worse, and now it can only be reduced to a third-line brand. JETWAY: It is a decent motherboard brand, with a series of characteristic technologies named after "Elf". The motherboard quality is average. Once, the motherboard of P4X266A chipset was named "848P", and its brand image was greatly affected, so it was listed as the third line here. Cordia (QDI): The former Lenovo motherboard, which belongs to the QDI division of Lenovo Group, is the largest motherboard supplier in China. At the beginning of 24, Lenovo separated the QDI business unit and set up an independent subsidiary, and the brand Cordia came into being. However, the strength and reputation of QDI are not as good as those of Taiwanese manufacturers, and I am afraid that what I can do now can only be to fight for the price. SHUTTLE: A powerful manufacturer in Taiwan Province, it is difficult to see his motherboard in the market at present, because it has transformed into a quasi-system under the unprecedented fierce competition in the motherboard industry. Boden (XFX): The manufacturer is Taiwan Province Songjing Technology, which mainly makes graphics cards. The motherboard is also good, but it is also rare. OCTEK: It is the largest motherboard manufacturer in Hong Kong. It was very popular in the 486 era, and then faded out of the retail market due to market adjustment. Although it returned to the mainland in 22, it failed to open up the situation. I wonder if it will be seen again in the future. TOPSTAR: A brand from Shenzhen, with independent R&D and manufacturing capabilities, claims to be the first brand in China, but it still has a long way to go. Xiangsheng (ASZ): It is also produced in Shenzhen. The manufacturer is Dongfang Hengjian Electronics Co., Ltd., which has certain manufacturing capacity and also does OEM work for other brands, but it is only cheap and the quality is not outstanding. EAGLE: Made by Shenzhen Radium Optoelectronic Co., Ltd., it has been specializing in the low-end market for many years, and there are not many advantages except low price. SEAVO: The workmanship is not bad, but the manufacturers are relatively low-key, have not seen any market promotion, and the product line is not complete, so we need to continue our efforts. Incompetent brands: Most of the motherboards at this level are channel vendors, and they have no manufacturing capacity, so they are completely OEM by other manufacturers, so I call them incompetent brands. In terms of workmanship, it is basically the third-line standard, or worse, but there are also some fine products. For example, the colorful dragon warrior is actually the AU13 of Volkswagen, and some models of Shuangmin are manufactured by Qingyun, so keep your eyes open when purchasing. Only the names of these brands are listed here, so I won't repeat them one by one: Colorful, Shuangmin, Meida, Ogilvy, Shuojing, Yingtong, Spartak, Qixiang, Jiandaland, Lanke, Tongwei, Titanium Teng, Shuangjie, Sandi, Jianbang, Red Boat ... Miscellaneous brands: needless to say, low price and poor quality, repair rate. It is best not to buy: Zhongcheng, Zhida, Zhimeng, Lianguan, Jieling, Kenao, Guanmeng, Kemeng, Taixun, Wanbanglong, Vista, Kovoda, Jaeger-Jaeger, Huaji, Huamei, over the rainbow, Fengwei, Red Fox, Silver Fox, Yichi, Liansheng, Jiewei, Shuangshuo, Zhongling, Jiewei. However, it is not easy to achieve such a great reputation. It can be called the "leader" brand in the miscellaneous motherboard: Panying: Xintianxia Company from Shenzhen has registered the trademark "Panying", which is not only poor in workmanship, but also confusing people, saying that it is genuine, and it is simply boastful! Mercedes-Benz: It is also a cybersquatting in the new world. It can be said that it is a serious insult to Mercedes-Benz. Baiyu: In order to distinguish Taiwan Province from Baiyu, it is generally called the mainland Baiyu. It also started from squatting, and its workmanship was poor, which seriously interfered with the market order. Shenzhou VI: A funny name, afraid of being called "Shenzhou V" to take legal action, so his name is Shenzhou VI, and his work is also rubbish. Wuliangye: In China, his name is a household name, which is well known to all women and children. I'm afraid INTEL can only match it. But he didn't cherish IT himself, and found a factory with a miscellaneous brand in Shenzhen to do OEM work, and then sold it at a low price, making money at a loss, and then announced that the enterprise would enter the IT industry to boost his stock-it's really the sorrow of China enterprises! Finally, let me say a few words. The categories of brands are artificially divided, and the boundaries between them are not obvious, especially between third-line brands, incompetent brands and miscellaneous brands. It can be said that the teeth are staggered, and my personal division is for reference only.
