Self-employed people can't get a medical device certificate. Find out the answer.
Answer: Individual industrial and commercial households are not allowed to apply for medical device business license and filing.

Articles 8 and 12 of the Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Medical Device Management clearly stipulate that operating enterprises shall apply to the municipal food and drug supervision departments with districts; Engaged in the second kind of medical device business, the business enterprise shall file with the municipal food and drug supervision department located in the district. Therefore, the applicant for medical device business license and filing should be an enterprise, not an individual industrial and commercial household.

So if your industrial and commercial license is an individual industrial and commercial household, you need to go to the industrial and commercial bureau to upgrade your business and change it into an enterprise license.
