Diesel generator sets are generally divided into four parts: diesel engine, generator, control system and accessories.

1, diesel engine

Diesel engine is the power output part of the whole unit, accounting for 70% of the cost of diesel generator set, and it is the favorite link of some unscrupulous manufacturers.

1. 1 deck fake machine

At present, almost all well-known diesel engines on the market have imitation manufacturers. Some manufacturers use these imitators with the same appearance to pretend to be famous brands, and use fake nameplates, real numbers, printed factory materials and other means to make fakes, thus achieving the goal of greatly reducing costs. It is difficult for non-professionals to distinguish the deck machine.

1.2 Turn over the old and new machines

All brands have refurbished old machines, which may be difficult for non-professionals to distinguish.

However, there are still some defects in the refurbished machine, such as paint, especially dead corner paint, which is difficult to be consistent with the original factory.

1.3 confusing people with similar factory names.

These manufacturers are opportunistic, afraid to do deck and renovation, so they fiddle with the name of the factory and the name of the diesel engine, and confuse them with similar factory names.

For example, some manufacturers use pinyin or homophones or even the same words to register their own brands, such as: Cummins generator set company, KMS generator set and so on. In fact, they have nothing to do with Cummins engine, but registered the name of a generator company, which has nothing to do with the "Cummins" trademark. All generator sets equipped with various miscellaneous diesel engines purchased by these manufacturers are called some Cummins generator sets.

1.4 small horse-drawn cart

Confuse the relationship between KVA and KW. Use KVA as kilowatt to exaggerate power and sell it to customers. Actually, KVA is the apparent power and KW is the effective power, and the relationship between them is1KVA = 0.8KW. Generally, the unit of power is kva for imported units and kw for domestic electrical equipment, so when calculating power, kva should be converted into kw at a 20% discount.

Don't talk about the relationship between long-distance (rated) power and standby power, just say "power" and sell standby power to customers as long-distance power. Actual standby power = 1. 1x long line (rated) power. Moreover, in the case of continuous operation of 1 hour, the standby power supply can only use 1 hour.

2. Generator part

The function of generator is to convert the power of diesel engine into electric energy, which is directly related to the quality and stability of output power.

2. 1 stator coil

The stator coil was originally made of copper wire, but with the improvement of wire-making technology, copper-clad aluminum core wire appeared. Different from copper-plated aluminum wire, copper-clad aluminum core wire is made of copper-clad aluminum by using a special mold during drawing, and the copper layer is much thicker than copper plating. The performance of generator stator coil with copper-clad aluminum core wire is similar, but its service life is much shorter than that of all-copper stator coil.

2.2 Incentive mode

Generator excitation modes are divided into phase compound excitation and brushless self-excitation, which have become the mainstream because of the advantages of stable excitation and simple maintenance. However, some manufacturers still configure phase compound excitation generators in generator sets below 300KW for cost reasons.

3. Control system

Ordinary standard units need to be manually switched, and it usually takes 10 to 30 minutes for diesel generator sets to send electricity from power failure.

The automatic control of diesel generator set can be divided into semi-automatic and full-automatic unattended type. Semi-automatic is to start the generator set automatically when the power is cut off and stop automatically when the call comes in, which saves the start-stop time, but it still needs to be switched manually. The automatic unattended control panel is equipped with ATS dual power switch, which can directly and automatically detect the commercial power signal and automatically switch, and at the same time control the automatic start and stop of the generator set to realize automatic unattended operation, and the switching time is adjustable for 3-7 seconds.

Hospitals, military, fire control and other places that need to send electricity in time must be equipped with fully automatic control panels.

4. Accessories

The accessories of conventional diesel generator set are composed of radiator water tank, oil tank, chassis, storage battery, battery lead, muffler, damping pad, air filter, diesel filter, oil filter, bellows, connecting flange and oil pipe. Accessories also have many fakable parts.
